Wireless CarPlay
Im aktuellen Konfigurator ist ja jetzt wireless CarPlay wieder enthalten:
"Die Verbindung mit einem aktuellen Apple iPhone (mindestens iOS 9, ab iPhone 5) kann auch kabellos erfolgen."
Da die Hoffnung zuletzt stirbt .... Können diejenigen, die den 8Y schon haben mal berichten, ob sich bei ihnen was tut ...
Ich werde nochmal bei Audi anfragen, ob, wann wireless auch in den schon ausgelieferten 8Y verfügbar sein kann/wird ...

Manchmal wünsche ich mir, ich hätte ein Android-Smartphone gekauft.
Ich sehe meinen Freunden immer neidisch dabei zu wenn sie versuchen es wieder zum laufen zu bekommen, nachdem es mal wieder abgestürzt ist. Mit einem iPhone passiert das nicht, das ist schon ziemlich langweilig.

Also ich verbinde dich trotzdem über das Bluetooth Menü oder nicht ?

Wenn ich mich über das WLAN verbinde habe ich doch kein LTE über das Handy ...
Es klappt auch alles bei mir bis zum letzten Schritt mit dem auswählen
am MMI im CarPlay Menü.
Hier kommt dann im Video das CarPlay , bei mir rödelt er ca. 10 Sekunden und meldet
dann Verbindung über Bluetooth fehlgeschlagen...
Ich hab jetzt entnervt aufgegeben und schicke es zurück

Hattest du die Motorhaube geöffnet bevor du die Programmierung gestartet hast?

Danach dürfte die Abfrage auf deinem iPhone kommen, ob du Wireless CarPlay verwenden möchtest. Das selbstverständlich mit "Ja" bestätigen. Danach kannst du in den WLAN-Einstellungen die oben zitierten Schritte vornehmen, damit du dein LTE/5G weiterhin verwenden kannst.
A3 heute erhalten mit 2 USB-C und Wireless Carplay läuft problemlos - auch ohne Verbindungsprobleme
Mittlerweile haben ja eh alle Neuauslieferungen Wireless CarPlay mit 2 USB-C.
Hast du auch den Bildschirmaussetzer beim Anfahren?
Nein habe ich nicht - aber zu früh gefreut wegen my.audi connect - habe über nacht Verbindung verloren
Mir ist aufgefallen dass ich bei ca 120kmh einen kurzen Aussetzer beim apple music oder YouTube Music streamen habe. Unter 110kmh null Probleme
Sonst noch wer?

Habe auch hin und wieder kleine Aussetzer (nur beim Ton) bei Apple Music... bislang aber nicht so störend, kommt nur selten vor. Die Bildschrim-Aussetzer, wie sie viele hier beschreiben, habe ich zum Glück nicht.

Bildschirmaussetzer habe ich auch nicht. Nur Tonaussetzer bei Musik bei erreichen ca 120kmh.
Ist dein A3 auch neu und in den letzten Wochen ausgeliefert worden? Meiner vor einer Woche.
Habe grad nochmal per OBD Eleven probiert aber will immer noch so ein Code fürs codieren haben. Schade. Meiner hat aber leider nur 1x USB C vorn

Recieved the ODB app from Steimieyesterday for my audi a3 8y with the ambition to activate Wireless Apple Carplay.
Step:0) Clearad the mmi from my iPhone and removed the car from the WiFi and Bluetooth in my iPhone.

=> No changes in MMI... the smartphone interface asks for usb cable and I cannot find the 5gHz WiFi.

I can now confirm it works. Ran the wrong sequence “unlock third device for MMI”. After running the “apple a3 8y Apple CarPlay wireless and 5gHz wlan activation” WCP works like a charm.

I'm having the same problem as you did - My car doesn't come with navigation or data package, I've codded everything succesfully but still nothing happens it just connects as normal BT connection, and no wireless CarPlay (my car has 2 USB-C ports).
I don't understand anything regarding that 5GHz WLAN thing - when I go to WIFI connections in my iPhone 12 Pro - there is no connection available at all (except from my Home's WIFI).
Please help me figure this out
