Full-screen wireless CarPlay solution for W177 2018+
Hat jemand Erfahrung mit einer solchen CarPlay-Schnittstelle? Auf AliExpress sind mehrere Versionen verfügbar, die drahtloses CarPlay im Vollbildmodus für NTG 6.0 bieten.

@alain13 Thanks for your comment. With AR you are right - thats an problem 🙁. For Sound I asked the sellers - he said original audio is used and its not bypassed by a dsp. Are you sure?Thats two main features for me. With not working AR while using android auto I can life - but with bad sound and not full working burmester it would be out of question for me.
So the seller I spoke to and ordered my box from stated that it is also possible to use the original MBUX Bluetooth as an audio source whilst connected to CarPlay. That way you don’t even need to route an AUX cable. So what this would mean is that your phone will connect to the interface for CarPlay but also connect to the cars Bluetooth for audio. At least on iPhone it’s possible and you’re able to automate this through the shortcuts app. Unsure if this will work on Android.
I will be testing this when the interface I ordered arrives. It’s currently in my country so I expect it to be delivered either end this week or beginning of next week. I’ll keep you guys posted.
My usb cable is connected but I don't use it: when I use the module I use audio from Bluetooth, from my iPhone.
In this case the audio comes from Bluetooth but the messages from the module can't be heard (like waze navigation messages, ...). Also, when a beep happens comes from MBux I have to reconnect audio by switching again to Bluetooth.

Which module do you have?

Ah nice! How are you liking the box?
Is the audio quality through the box itself significantly worse? Or are we talking marginally worse? I don’t have the max upgraded sound system. I have the mid tier one.
I have the intermediate model tooo (Advanced SA853).
For the quality I would say "not better", but there are 6 different settings and you have to use the right one.
There are also some other parameters not very clear
By the way, for audio I don't use it from the module, since even Spotify can be used from the screen (and from the Apple watch, which is quite cool)

So what’s the upside of using Bluetooth of MBUX compared to Bluetooth of the CarPlay module if the difference in audio quality is slim. Wouldn’t it make more sense to connect via Bluetooth to the module which is connected through aux? Because that way you would also have navigation audio?
Or am I understanding wrong?
Also, while using the USB for connect to the module, the speedcams are lost, since USB menu in the Mbux will be used to be "AUX" for the module, and its audio. (detail: "AUX" because it is a 3.5mm Jack transfoorming into usb).
So, if you want to listen your mp3 from an Usb stick, the USB plug of the module has to be used, and then the manipulations are done via the menu of the module (really not better thant the real MBux one). The module should also play video files, but I didn't successed to see anyone yet. Maybe a problem with file format ?
For me: no cable and I keep my MBux usb usage and audio. Bluetooth audio only for Spotify, and waze, Plan, Maps without audio, but that's not a problem.
I could add: on my model, APK cannot be installed, even if AndroidAuto is supported.
(Pardon my English, but even in my native language it's not easy to explain 🙂) )

Your English is amazing, nothing to pardon yourself for. I completely understood you! Here in the Netherlands we use Flitsmeister for speed cams (also on CarPlay). I also use the USB speedcam POI. But since I have two USB-C ports I can route the Aux to one and then the usb for POI (if I still want it) in the front. I use a hidden 12V plug that goes all the way in where I charge my phone with. So the 12V cover is always completely down 🙂
Strange, In my car, within the Mbux multimedia menu I can’t have USB and AUX at the same time. I have to unplug the module if I want to be able to see an usb stick.
And I have just tested: sound is louder with bluetooth than with AUX mode

Ah I think you’re right! I didn’t think about that AUX is seen as USB by MBUX 😛
@Cla250Driver I can say that a dsp is used, and there is also an equalizer.
There also 8 kinds of "soundtype", that I don't know exactly what they are meant for, only that some of them are unusable in my car.
If I don't plug the usb<->3.5mm jack I don't have any sound coming from the box. I suspect he dsp to be placed into the little adapter jack/usb. Not sure for that.

I got it installed now. The USB C to 3.5mm is there to trick MBUX into thinking it’s a USB playing a media file. As MBUX does not natively support AUX. The DSP is in the interface itself. It states on the box that it contains DSP.
Music volume is a bit lower and maybe quality like 5% worse.
What do you have set as car / display / audio settings? It came standard on 1 but I have no idea what they mean.
