Touch Kimabedienteil
Hallo Leute.
Kennt Ihr, oder hat hir eigentlich schon jemand das Touch Klimabedienteil verbaut?
Mich würde Interresieren ob damit alles funktioniert und ob es Plug&Play ist.
Soll angeblich in den neun Asiatischen Modellen verbaut sein.
Ich finde es würde extrem gut zum Radio passen.

Das bis jetzt verbaute Klimabedienteil ist, was "blinde" Bedienung mit haptischem UND optischen Feedback angeht, nahezu ideal, hat aber diverse Taster und Drehencoder etc. verbaut was deutlich teurer kommt.
Leider wird so ein Touch-Mist ja auch noch von vielen Autokäufern goutiert, da nicht einfache Bedienung sondern Bling-Bling im Vordergrund steht.
Siehe z.B Threads im Golf8 Forum wo die Bedienbarkeit bzw. nicht Bedienbarkeit der nicht mehr "mobilen" sondern nur noch "digitalen" Ikone Golf8 diskutiert wird.
Da gibt es zwei Lager:
- Die Toucher die nicht kapieren, dass ausschliesslich auf Touchbedienung im Auto zu setzen schlecht und gefährlich ist.
- Und die welche verstehen, dass nur aus Kostenspargründen immer mehr auf Touch gesetzt wird und dies eigentlich in einem KFZ, wo der Blick auf die Strasse gehört, nichts verloren hat.
Das Beste ist dann, dass man dem Kunden nachher noch mehr Störer (von den Herstellern Assistenten genannt) anbieten kann, die vermeintlich die Ablenkung durch die nicht mehr intuitiv mögliche Bedienung kompensieren.

What would pin 16 give ?
This is the LIN Bus connection. The question is there a pin in place there (i.e. coming out of the panel). Your original panel definately has a pin there. I enhanced my comment on page 51 to make things a little clearer.

No, if your old knobbed climate control works with the rear zone & panel, then it can't be the gateway. It might be the software version of the rear panel is too old to work correctly, but thats only a hunch and I would assume that it would at least turn the display on, since the "power up" message on the LIN bus is still the same.
What you can do is delete the 08 from the installation list in the gateway. Save the values and close the controller (gateway) in VCDS. Switch off the power via the Start/Stop button. Turn the power back on and reinstall the 08 in the installation list of the gateway via VCDS. That way you will force the gateway to re-read the config info from the 08 and it's subs. Sometimes this helps, although I have never needed to do this on a climatic control unit.

I even bought a rear panel from a 2020 as you can see on the pictures before. I also thought mine could be to old. But I placed a 2020 version and still displays stays off

Yes, that was clear. I meant look where this plug is plugged into (in the climate control panel) The question is if there is a companion pin there.
It is on pin 16 and same colour at the back on pin 1
Yes, beacause that is the cable going from the front climate control to the rear climate control (the LIN Bus cable) What we need to find out if there is a connection going INTO the front climate control panel. If the >panel< (NOT the plug) has no pin on the 16th place, then there is no connection between the electronics in the front panel and the electronics in the rear panel. Please take a hi-res picture of the OLD climate control panel (20 pin connector) and a ditto picture of the NEW climate control panel.

Hmm, Pin 16 is there on all three panels. I am slowly running out of ideas.
If I understood you correctly the only FRONT panel that works in conjunction with the rear panel is the orginal "5GE" one? Neither Ali nor the new original VW panel bring the rear panel to life?
@monstermolt Du fährst doch auch einen GTE, oder? Hast Du das gleiche Panel wie jimmy drin? Also das 3G8 907 056(D). Beim hinteren Bedienteil wird so weit ich weiß nicht zwischen "normal" und GTE unterschieden, sondern nur ob mit oder ohne Sitzheizung hinten..

Das einzige wo das hinten display functioniert is das alte 5GE
Vielleicht kann jemand mit eine Passat GTE mit touchpanel, Sitzheizung und hinten display eine Scan Posten
Hast du schonmal das hintere Panel gegen ein aktuelles getauscht? Evtl. mal auch dort gegen das Touch Panel tauschen.
Ich habe eine aus 2020 eingebaut, kein Touch. Weil den im showroom beim VW wo ich das vorne Touch teilnr von habe auch kein Touch war.
