RNS 310 auf Sofwareversion 0351 updaten

I have an official v9 Western Europe maps on its way to me, so I hope that this will be much better than the v1 France Metropolitan area only I currently have......

No problems burning with „Burn“ on an iMac Mid 2011 so far. Just do not use the Apple standard tool but „Burn“

Having updated the software version to 357, I Have just taken the car out for a drive an initially the media button didn’t respond but now all is working fine. I inserted the new Navigation card now covering the whole of Europe not just France and there is no voice guidance. The visuals work well and I can adjust the level of the voice guidance yet nothing tells me where to go. Is this a fault in my update, so burn the image again elsewhere and nice and slow or is it a fault with the navigation card. It’s a genuine vw/Audi/seat/Skoda card. Any ideas anyone?

Just tried using the original v1 maps disc and still no voice guidance. The route actually follows well, and I have tried adjusting the guidance volume from off to the highest sound setting and still nothing. Unless anyone has some advice I will re-install 357 update from a different disc burned on imgburn on a PC rather than on a Mac.

this problem seems to be in the firmware update. Do you remember, that the update from 2xx to 351 have to rum twice ? Otherwise you can get this sound problem.
Please insert the 2xx - 351 update CD again and let it run until the end.

Re-install 357 will not solve this issue.

The 351 disc came up with cd error in the drive when tried to run 351 update. Should i do a factory reset and then re-try a 351 update and then the 357?

I think I did run 351 update twice. The HW value is 012, does that have a bearing?

No, HW Version doesn't matter in this case.
Ok, if the 351 Update doesn't run, then try to run 357 again. I am unsure if this will help but give it ia try.

I only know this issue from update 2xx - 351 when user doesn't run update twice.

I can re-burn a 351 update disc at a friends tomorrow as their machine was successful with the first disc. Will a factory reset take it back to 0212? Most of the time i turn the voice instructions off and rely on the images and actually looking at where i am going.

No, a factory reset only reset your personal options.
firmware will not be reset by this.

Gestern habe ich nachgeschaut und ich habe
FSE Steuergerät in 1K8 035 730 D Version.
(um alle Daten zusammen fassen:
3C0035270B
SW0357
H15
FSE Pairing Adapter 3C0.051.435.PA)

Auf welche Version FSE Steuergerät sollte ich tauschen um das Handy-Menü auf MFA+ und RNS zu haben?
Oder gibt's noch was dass in meine Konfiguration fehlt?

I have visited my friend and burned two 351 discs at 1xspeed with imgburn and they both get cd error when I insert them in the RNS 310. Not quite sure what to do now. Am I permanently stuck with no voice guidance on the sat Nav? I do have a 235 to 351 disc but am worried that this won’t get me back to 357. Is there anything else I can try?

did you try the 357 CD again ?

If you try 235 - 351 than there are two options, first : same error like 351 try or secound back to 235. But than no chance to go to 357 again.

Please try the 357 again.

I tried the 357 disc again and no improvement or voice guidance working. Also the MDI interface to my iPhone just displays aux and doesn’t let me skip tracks with the steering wheel controls or display the current tracks playing....

than there are two options:
Give the 235 - 351 a try(could work because Disc Date were modified), but you will get a fallback to 235 or 351.
After that please run the "normal" 2xx - 351 again. Than test your problems(Navi voice, etc)

other option:
Ask your VW dealer for an update(could be 358), if they do it with an online connection to VW, it could be help.

Don't know any other options doing by yourself
