Hilfe, DSG-Ölwechselarbeiten dürfen überhaupt nicht durchgeführt werden.

Paasat B8 2.0 TDI 150 PS 60.000 Kilometer

English

sorry, german is not my mother language, help by google translation. The mood of word may slightly change after translation, sorry.

But I very like vw car, great german car. UK local forum do not have many people for discussion vw.

Thanks for here forum. help me solved heat pipe noise which vw specialist also can not find out.

This is a long story. we should turst, believe the vw technician skill, until I found they breaked a plastic chip on glove box edge. When I replace pollen filter found. The service history show, only once replace in maindealer before. see the attached picture. red arrows marked.

a lot of youtube shows

the DSG oil filter located under the battery tray. the technician must remove the intake air pipe, battery and battery tray, and then access the flter cover.

Except the vw Aisin AT 6 speed transmation which sold in North Amearican (USA Canada). We are both european user.

I marked the screws on the air pipe, battery and undertray, see picture. It looks like exactly same angle and position as before service.

I could complain or talk with vw dealer again, but logically they will deny my thinking.

If they did not change the DSG oil ,that will be disaster, thay means DSG suffer dirty oil up to 120,000km in the next.

I understand the german car need the best service, I only use the vw maindealership service, that should be the best level. But i am worried now.

When was your car built? Maybe you have the new 7 gears DSG DQ381 which has the DSG oil filter sitting behind the DSG which is only reachable from below the car. Then it would be only neccessary to remove engine noise insulation.

It would have been best to put the mark on the DSG oil filter housing and the oil release screw.

Nice to know: 240hp BiTDI has DQ500 where the DSG oil filter will not be replaced every time according to dealer manuals. Thats not true for 150/190 but could also be possible that a mechanic just wanted to save time.

thank you very much my friend.

I can confirm that my DSG is 6 speed wet transmission.

My Paasat B8 is 2015 September register. 2.0TDI 150hp bluemotion. CRLB engine. The very first version of Passat B8 in UK market.

Also from invoice, vw dealer shows the DSG filter parts is W02E 305 051 C, attached the photo.

it is really shocked some technician do not replace the DSG oil filter. just for saving time!

How can I do now?

=================

vielen Dank mein Freund.

OK, then its safe DQ250.

IMO there are only these options:

1 discuss with the dealer so they can do it properly because you paid for it.

2 get it done elsewhere and pay again.

3 do it yourself. with this you are 100% sure its replaced. (warranty question)

I'm always going for last option not only to save money. ;)

edit: I think its no very big issue when the filter was not replaced if at least oil was changed but if you paid for it, its still not nice when it wasn't done properly. I'm thinking like this because DQ500 oil filter in Passat 240hp is only changed when metal pieces are found in the oil or mechatronic was changed. I found this information in ELSA

Hello my dear, update some news from main dealer, hope could help other vw passat users.

The technician said, to save work time, normally they do not remove the battery and intake air pipe.

They use the special tool to access the filter.

Show on the photo, there is a space allow one man's arm to access the DSG oil filter.

I can only believe what they say.

This time I only marked the battery and air pipe. Maybe next time I should mark on the filter.

Thank you for your help.
