Golf 5 GTI 2.0 TFSI - Kode P0301

VW Golf 5 (1K1/2/3)

Hallo,

Was denkst du darüber?

So I think you have more then one issue. First the Ignition Issue on Cylinder one can have multiple causes on a GTI. Most the ignitition coil is faulty or the spark plug to old. So you should first replace the Ignition Coil and Spark Plug. If you still have ignition missfires on cylinder one the fuel injector is bad or your engine suffers from the (T)FSI known carbon buildup issue on the Intake valves. If there is to much carbon buildup on the intake valves they cannot close / seal completly and compression gets lost -> You have ignition missfires. Then you have to clean the Intake valves with walnut blast.

So for P0301 do this:
1. Replace the Spark Plug
2. Replace the Ignition Coil
3. Replace the Fuel Injector
4. Check for carbon buildup on the intake valves.

The other Issue is a little bit more complicated. Knock Sounds are never good in conjunction with low oil. You said 2 liters engine oil were missing ? The Engine has only 4.5 Liter oil in the engine so 50% were missing. Describing sounds in a Forum is mostly not a good idea. If possible please make a short video with your Smartphone and load it up to Youtube and place a link here in this thread, so we can have a look and hear the knocking sound. Maybe it's failed conrod bearing but can also be the timeing chain between the camshafts (YES it has a chain AND a timeing belt !!!!) and also some othes possible causes.

Sounds like one piston is not runing. You should check the compression on all four pistons... For me thats a full engine failure and this engine is fuc... up and ready for a replacement engine or a rebuild. I don't think that new coils and spark plugs will solve this issue.

that's what I was thinking. I will rebuild it or try to replace it.

Do you know how can I remove the chain of the oil pump ? I can not access to the cylinder because of it, and I don't want to break it.

Anykind of help will be much appreciated.
