I am sorry I write in English. I use google translate to read the forum in English (from German)
I just wanted to give some help to the original poster:
My car was built on 1/10 at Rosslyn per VIN. I too was curious to see the ship it was on, and was able to see the list of everyday ships departing from Durban. Then I looked ship by ship to see which was coming to Bremerhaven until I found what I assume it was mine. This hunt paid off, since, 2 days after the ship I thought it was on, I got email from Sales Agent saying car was now being transported. Can't wait until arrives!
Here's what I used:
To see the daily list of ships:
https://africaports.co.za/category/Durban/
One of the daily reports in which I found the ship it was coming "our way""
https://africaports.co.za/.../
(look under CAR CARRIERS AT DURBAN CAR TERMINAL)
Then you can look each ship up at sites like:
https://www.vesselfinder.com/.../...HIGHWAY-IMO-9243473-MMSI-352218000
or
https://www.vesseltracker.com/en/Ships/Caribbean-Highway-9243473.html
As the "TheSoundAuthority" wrote, this does not do much good and gives you no final answer, but, its good to track and hope...
Last but not least, my stats:
9/18 - order placed
1/10 - car produced
14-16/10 car went to ship
7/11 - ship arrived
10/11 - sales agent confirmed car was status 182 - waiting for transport.
now i am hoping it gets delivered to Zug Switzerland sooner rather than later. The non binding delivery date was WK46 which begins tomorrow.. but I doubt that I will have it by Friday. I imagine now it takes maybe 10-14 days?
Again, sorry for English, my first post, and I wont keep posting if this is not acceptable. But its my only way to participate and I have seen valuable information here in the forum
BTW X3 20i with all the bells and whistles...

QNAP

Thanks a lot for this explanation! May I ask which VIN decoder you used? The bimmer.work one only asks for the 7 last digits so I suppose it cannot say anything about location of build etc...?

There are several. However, this one worked pretty well for me: https://decoder.bvzine.com/
Hope it helps, good luck! I've been told my car is ready for pick up this coming Tuesday. Can hardly wait!!!
