Next-Gen Sensus mit Android Google Maps und Play Store: Android Automotive
Das Thema hatten wir schon in einigen Threads gestriffen, aber nun wird es wieder akut

Google and Volvo announced last year that they were teaming up to build Android into future cars. Such a set up will allow drivers to use their infotainment system independently of their smartphones since the system itself will operate on Android. Volvo says that the first Android-based system will launch in a couple of years.
Dazu ein paar Sachen, die mir auffegallen sind:
- - Keine Angabe, ab wann (Modelljahr 2020?) und für wen (nachrüstbar?, mMn eher nicht)
- - Kein kompletter Zugriffauf den Play Store, sondern nur auf angepasste Apps aus dem Play Store

Meine Vermutung zu ECARX hatte ich hier geschrieben:

Kurzform: Ich tippe mit ECARX auf nichts anderes als Android Automotive OHNE die unmittelbaren Integration der Google Dienste - quasi analog einem Smartphone mit Android komplett ohne Google, wie z.B: LineageOS oder den Ansatz, den Huawei gerade fährt.
Macht auch Sinn, bei chinesischen Eigentümern und Joint Ventures, das Risiko bei einer Eskalation des Handelskrieges zwischen USA und China zu minimieren.

Das ist nicht "Weg von Google", sondern "Das Potential von Android Automotive voll ausnutzen" -- und das ist sehr cool :-) dafür hat AA ja Support für die zusätzliche Apps.
Ich dachte Polestar ist ein chinesischer Hersteller ?!

Achtung, die Mitteilung von Google ist nicht nur für Android Automotive, sondern auch für Android Auto und das mit dem Car Key gilt für Volvo auch momentan nicht.
Bei Polestar gibt es sowas ähnliches ja schon, aber hier funktioniert das mit dem Schlüssel meines Wissens nach über Bluetooth und nicht per NFC UWB.
Kurz gesagt: Volvo bekommt YouTube, Spracherkennung im Auto kann zukünftig mehr und man wird sein Auto aus der Ferne steuern können. Und wenn letzteres so gut funktioniert, wie über die Volvo App, dann wohl letzteres eher nicht :D

Wäre sehr interessant zu wissen wie das technisch gelöst ist, vorallem ob die Integration dann komplett über Google läuft ohne zutun von Volvo. Dann besteht die Hoffnung das es tatsächlich funktioniert.
na also bisher ist es eher umgekehrt. Was von Google kommt, kann weniger und funktioniert weniger stabil als das alte Zeugs von Volvo.
Ich bin extrem enttäuscht von Android Automotive. Geringerer Funktionsumfang bei der Fz Bedienung als beim Sensus, mehr Probleme (ok, das Sensus zickte in den ersten 2 Jahren im XC90 auch ordentlich) und für mich fast am schlimmsten: optisch kein Stück moderner. Gerade weil das Design der Volvos innen wie aussen echt toll ist, fällt die verstaubte Darstellung auf den beiden Displays negativ ins Auge.
OTA ist ja ganz nett, aber wenn ich sehe wie der auch schon 2 Jahre alte A35 Benz mit dem MBUX aus schaut und was er alles im Display anpassen kann, habe ich wenig Hoffnung für das Android-Sensus.
Auf dem Parkplatz YouTube schauen ist nicht was ein Auto ausmacht. Mit dem jetzigen Stand dieses Systems stolz auf YoutTube zu sein, finde ich schon etwas peinlich...
Es ist immer wieder faszinierend, wie sehr die Meinungen von Fachleuten und "erfahrenen Nutzern" auseinandergehen. AAOS schneidet in allen Tests gut bis hervorragend ab - mit deutlicher Tendenz zu letzterem. Die üblichen Begründungen: intuitiv bedienbar, keine verschachtelten Menüs, keine überflüssigen Einstellungen, sehr hohe Geschwindigkeit, bester Navigationslösung am Markt, hervorragende Sprachsteuerung. Besonders sehens-/lesenswert sind Tests aus den Ländern, in denen es keinen eigenen PKW-Hersteller und somit keine "Manipulation" der Bewertungen durch Werbeanzeigen gibt. Da schneiden vor allem die deutschen Hersteller ziemlich schlecht ab.
Und zum Thema Mercedes und MBUX: Das System ist so "gut", dass Mercedes es verdammt schnell durch eine zweite Generation ablösen musste und anfangs versprochene Funktionen/Programme bis heute fehlen.
