Hi
@sir_d

Optik?

The brown leaher seats with the black klavierlack and the zebrano imitation wood panels is terribly ugly. Cold colors mixed with warm colors. I'm hugely dissapointed with this facelift of the interior.
I wanted to buy a Twintop with brown leather seats (since there are no beige ones), but the new dashboard is a cacaphony.
As an architect I deal every day with "design" and esthetic choices. What Opel is doing now is really "bad" design-choices. They are losing me as a customer.
...well then i suggest buying a VW Eos, since u can order it with beige leather seats, a suiting wooden trim, a phenomal 2.0 TFSI engine and a DSG-Gearbox... 🙂
Greetings.

I'm thinking about it, but not with a wooden trim nut the aluminium trim. Very classy. But my heart is with Opel.
What is a shame is that my family drives only Opel since three generations. I'm driving since 1991 with Opel Cabrio's. I had the Kadett E 1.6, the Astra H 1.8 and now since 5 years the Astra G 2.2 Bertone Edition WITH beige leather seats. I love this car. It still has a beautiful look and the interior feeling is perfect for my taste.
But since a few years Opel has made some weird design choices witch make that I don't like the interior feeling of the car. The Antara has the same problems. And the strangest thing there is that for the Saturn Vue (which is in fact a rebadged Antara) you can have a light grey/beige interior. And this car is built on the same line as the Antara. So it's really about choices or better the LACK of choices. I have no problem of paying some extra euro's for making the interior to my liking (as with the Eos), but Opel gives me no choice.
Just for interest: English isn't your native language, is it? Are you french? ...and u understand german too, in reading?

I'm from Belgium, from the Flemish speaking part near Brussels. I can speak Dutch, French and English. At school we also learned German. But that's so long ago. I still understand it when I read it and when they speak it to me. I can speak it still a little, but writing German has become rather difficult.

@polle gazon
sorry man, but what do you by writing "my heart is with opel"? And than you looking to opel´s hardest competition, if you really drive opel for 3 generations.....
than you wouldn´t think, not even in your dreams, to buy a VW..... 😉
Just have an look to the Ford Focus Cab, to.
An my fav Cab, is anyway the Saab 9-3 Cabriolet. 😉

Depends, as always, on taste: I've never liked the Opel design (exterior & interior) until the recent generation of Corsa/Astra/Vectra. I especially found the interior design to be far worse than, say, Volkswagen.
Now, I like the interior design of the Astra H, it's modern and quite "clinical" - though the colours (shades of grey) are not top-notch.
But that's just me...
Hi
You are all right. And the problem of Polle Gazon is just like my problem was, when i wanted to order my Astra GTC.
I always dreamed about a beige leather interieur. Earlier in my life i had to buy used cars, so i had not the choice to get those beige leather seats without searching for a long time.
So i was glad that i was able to buy a new car, at last. But Opel don't offers my wishes, (Astra GTC Sport with the "Mattchrom" decoration and the "Chromquader" decoration AND beige leather interieur) even nothing what is a little bit similar bit to my wishes. I would have paid with pleasure the extra cost.....more than black leather would cost of myself. But not available.
I would have been satisfied with the Astra Cosmo Beige/Black Fabric/Leather Seats from the Astra Cosmo 5-door and Caravan. No full leahter seats in beige but.....it would have been enough.
But even those are not available in the GTC.....why not??
So i had to order the standard Seats in anthracite.....
But even if Opel would offer beige leather seats for the Astra, they would combine them with some ugly wooden imitations or something else.
Why can't we choose what we want to have in our cars?? No other german manufacturer is that stubborn, but Opel.
I think they ain't gonna learn it anymore.🙁 It's a pitty.
For me there's no doubt....i'm gonna buy (and bought) only Opel. But many other customers who have to decide between Opel and other manufacturers will take the other car, because Opel is not individual enough. They buy the car which has the Specs they desire..... And that car won't be an Opel.

as an architect you should hold Saab-Design in high regard. Saab and Volvo Cars are rather popular in engineering and architecture-milieus, both at techniqual aspects and aspects concerning the interior&exterior-design. although 9-3 isnt an Opel, its a GM ... point 1!
another aspect is the engine. there are only forced-to-breath-engines available, lining up from 150 to 250 horses - very attractive for an heavy-weight convertible. point 3 is the space on the rear seats which is abound - in comparison to the 2007 Astra Conv.
the price is - of course - above the Astra the Saab has earned to be invested in some "extra euros".
Na da will ich mal in unserer Muttersprache weitermachen.
Weiss jemand, wann Opel den Konfigurator auf die neuen Modelle umstellen wird?
Auf Opel.at ist der 1,6 Turbo Motor schon konfigurierbar.
