Reliability OM654 DE16 160PS W205 BJ2019

Hi from France !

Currently own a Toyota Corolla TS 2020 but it's a boring car (!) and i would like a more "autobahn oriented" and ride with more steering precision (which Corolla lacks).
I could swap it to some S205 200d 2019/2020 wagon with 100kkm.
Is the OM654 DE16 160PS a perfectly reliable machine ?
Would have prefer a rare OM654 DE20 150PS but appart from being very rare, would it be a better choice as for agrement and reliabilty ?
Coming from Toyota i'm a bit anxious about that point.

The OM654 DE20 with 150PS is indeed very rare in the 205 because it had been installed as an option before DE16 was available. That was from November 2018 to somewhen in the beginning of 2019. It usually is used in the 213 models, there it is named 200d as well.

If you can get the DE20 150PS engine in an affordable price range than take that. The 1.6 is ok but I would not take it.

No special reason, in Germany we call it a "belly decision"...

The DE20 has low consumption and the power and torque is very high. So that would make my decision for it easy.

The DE20 150PS is indeed great. But so rare on W205...

sorry to correct here one of the answers.
The 150 PS version of the OM 654 was built in the W/S 205 only from 07/2018 to 10/2018 (WIKIPEDIA)

i bought a used one in 01/2020 with 17.000 KM on the odometer. First reg. in 08/2018.
Since then I drove only 44.750 Km with an average of 5,3l/100 KM .

last average was 267 Km wit 4.8l/100KM: mostly motorway
It depends -as always- how fast you are, weather conditions (20 degrees C is great) and the circumstances of traffic.
Very reliable engine but rare engine. I always would prefer a 2 liter version
