Noise ratchet type noise when accelerating or 2nd-3rd half clutch. Common to all 2.0 turbo

Opel Insignia A (G09)

Hello fellow will expose a problem with my 2.0 turbo 4x4

Besides the annoying vibrations of the exhaust at idle, I discovered another small noise in motor does not appreciate me, so I commented to see if anyone knows anything about the matter:

On departure, when changing from first to second or second to third, if I do accelerating and while playing with the clutch half (toe / heel), you hear a clunk or apportionment of motor ratchet type (is hear something like this but heard very fast: cla, cla, cla, cla, cla), as a rattle at full speed. This is not a loud noise, but the truth is that it sounds pretty shabby, especially considering the expectations of a 220 hp badge.

Let's see if someone can take a cable and know it can be.

Thanks and greetings from Spain.

Jooseph good afternoon,

You scared me, what exactly do you mean when you say you can cause some minor damage in the engine compartment?

Thanks again and good luck with your repair.

I hope to hear from you further concern.

greetings

EDIT:

I discovered this website where you can look at the prices of Opel parts for your reference:

http://opelnet.at/page.asp?...

I'm surprised to see that the reference (61654) flywheel is more expensive than the flywheel with (616243) references and (616302)

What do you think about this?

Jooseph guten Tag,

http://opelnet.at/page.asp?...

Was halten Sie davon?

Hi,

check this link - it is brand new 616547 flywhell for 2.0t 4x4,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMbm_vVCk8g&feature=plcp

no doubt it will rattle soon. My advice is - just tell to service what is the problem and wait, do not speed the process. The whole replacement work is difficult, very easy to damage transmission shaft sealings for example.

Other parts also to be check for "rattling" like both front wheels shafts - the nuts should be tighten, the gearbox, the front differential box. It is more complicated as it seems.

As for my car, I have decided to wait untill summer to ask service to replace whole stuff. My clutch "rattles" only ocasionally.

ps. I put photos how looks spark plug from 1st cylinder of 2.0t 260 hp after 50000 km .

Hello Jooseph,

I use a translator "web" and do not quite understand completely what you're saying.

I understand that:

1. - The new flywheel you bought, finally is 616547. Do not served to our car the flywheel (616243) and (616302)??

2. - What in your opinion, the new flywheel will immediately make the same noise also ratchet.

3. - Do you recommend simply inform the Opel garage and hope they decide which is the reason for the noise. Do not tell them the cause of noise is the flywheel. Do not press me to change the flywheel, since in the process of substitution is likely to damage other parts of the car, such as the joints of shafts, so on. That flywheel replacement operation flywheel is more complicated than it seems.

4. - That noise can come from other parts of the car, as the wheel axles, gearbox, rear diferecial box, so on.

Is it right what I understand?

Thanks again for everything and greetings.

Hallo Jooseph,

ad. 1 the part number is ok for 2.0t 4x4 220hp . What I think - if you replace dmf under warranty - you will get the same flywhell . sachs 2294001003 = GM 616547.

616243 - no longer available
616302 - available , but not sure if is better or if flywhell will fit to 220hp version. different number for gearbox shaft.

2. Not immediately, but after some mileage. depends how you will drive and how "sporty"

3. Yes. Find service that did such replacement in 2.0t 4x4 earlier. Do not let them learn on your car. Report the problem and wait. At the beginning the sound has to be audible to service mechanic. No sound=no repair. I know that a few front differentials were replaced because of strange sounds in 2.0t 4x4. Check the "remedial action" in tis2000 for you car and rattling sound.

4.Yes - because Your car has low mileage and this is suspicous. I have heard click-clack noise in new 2.0t , ratlling happens later. example DMF has started rattling after 50000 km in my car. click-clack sound after 1000 km.

Again thank you Jooseph, for all the advice and information provided by you I

Just one more thing, I have no access to use the Opel TIS2000 to check the "remedial action" in tis2000 for my car and rattling sound.

Do you have access to updated TIS2000 MY2011.5?

Thanks and regards
