99.9 % your engine have micro-fracture (block) , 2.0 nht, 2009 year. 🙁
1. it is not possible to weld , one block was send to workshop specialised in such repairs...sorry not possible to repair it.
2. by the way it is WERY hard to even find where is the crack
3. this is problem related to 2009 and some of 2010 2.0 NHT engines
4. you can still drive this engine, you just need to drive slowly and add 2l of coolant per 100 km 😁
looking for crack, dissasembling the engine - don`t do (costs)
ask GM to cover expenses - try , you can agree to cover the costs of replace work, GM cover the new engine.
if not...try to find brand , new 2.0 NFT 250 KM engine on ebay.de , with 2 years guarantee. it is ~3200 E cost.
The seller is located in germany. We had tested this way in Poland since GM Poland refuse in most cases to cover the expenses.
If you get a new engine, you will have new timing chains with it (you will spare some $$$ in future repair 😉 )
