Remote Software Update Juni 2022 (Android Auto, Apple Carplay)
Wer wartet alles sehnsüchtig auf das Update? Hoffe der Thread hat seine Daseinsberechtigung. Vielleicht kann man ja neue Infos diesbezüglich hier austauschen.
Auszug aus der Info vom Verkäufer:
Der Hersteller BMW hat uns mitgeteilt, dass folgende Funktionen nur vorläufig entfallen:
- Bluetooth Telefonie mit einem zweiten Telefon
- Bluetooth Audio Streaming mit einem zweiten Telefon
- Smartphone Integration (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto)
- WLAN-Hotspot
Alle temporär entfallenen Funktionen werden voraussichtlich ab Juni 2022 per Remote Software-Update zur Verfügung stehen.

hatte am Mittwoch meinen Service-Termin und kann nun eine WLAN Verbindung mit dem Auto herstellen. Amazon Alexa geht somit und der Rest kommt ja wohl per Remote Update.
Also einfach Händler anrufen - die sollten seit Montag dieser Woche eigentlich im Bilde sein.
Welche Version ist eigentlich zurzeit die neuste?

WLAN works immediately after update.
CarPlay will be available starting May 19th via RSU. But therefore you first need the 02/2022.52 software version.
Dealer can install this since the last couple of days.. software installation OTA will be starting May 28th.

I literally mention this in the post above yours.
Car is at the dealer right now.
They are going to install the software update (that enables WiFi Hotspot and enhanced Bluetooth) due to the official recall on my car!
There is a possibility that Apple Carplay/Android Auto will be going live today instead of tomorrow! So that would be perfect timing!
03/2022.35 habe ich installiert.
Mal sehen wann ich das aktuelle RSU laden kann. Aktuell hab ich leider keine Zeit den Wagen beim Händler zu parken.

Yes update is free when you have an official recall on your car. You can check this via https://www.bmw.ie/en/topics/owners/bmw-recall.html#recallLookup
This specific update can be remotely installed on your car starting May 28th. But it could be a staggered roll-out so it could take a while before the update will be available on your car.
So the fastest option is too book an appointment with your dealer.

Yep, that's the correct recall. So call your dealership. ;)
