you can order model 1 and model 2 with or without the base plate for your mobile. I chose to have model 2 (with SAP) but without base plate, so I kept my cupholder. In the configurator there should be 4 options for hands-free solutions.

1. w/o SAP, w/o cupholder
2. w/o SAP, w. cupholder
3. w. SAP, w/o cupholder
4. w. SAP, w. cupholder.

SAP means in deed that you have an external antenna, without the requirement of a physical connection via cable, plug or whatever between mobile an antenna.

With SAP (Sim Access Profile) the Insignia get's a buildt-in mobile phone, which only transfers the data of the SIM card of your mobile via bluetooth.

For me the optimal solution.

ja super! danke. jetzt hab ichs geschnallt: ich muss also fuers sap pairing offensichtlich am dvd800 einen code eingeben. dann telefonier ich sozusagen uebers dvd800 und die aussenantenne, ansonsten eben nicht. ok. super, danke. werds naechste woche ausprobieren, da kommt mein 2.0 CDTI ST. teile dann mit obs genauso geklappt hat...
