Lambdasonde Error 284E00

Hello.
2 weeks ago after reading out my F10 LCI from 2016 with Ista i had this error 284eE00. It is a lambdasonde error i deleted the error and after riding 500 KM checkt the car again with Ista-D and again the same error.
Ista says it is the lambda sonde after the cat. How can i check the lambda sonde with Ista? i have been reading and it says i have to be driving the car but how can i let Ista check the sonde if it is really broken? i did not find it . There was something written about deleting adaptations. I tried everything but i dont now how what to do after Ista enplanes the error 284E00 .
I got no errors in the car do i have to go to the dealer?

Manchmal muss man um manche Kommentare "drumherumlesen". Mit allem anderen ist dem TE ja nicht geholfen. Und ich gebe Dir Recht, Englisch sollte man in der Schule in diesem Maße auch gelernt haben ;o)

Hello everyone..
An update on on the lambda sonde problem , 14 months after replacing the defected lambda sonde wit a original brand new lambda Ista is givving the same error after reading out the car this morning.
This cant be normal that an original lamda sonde is already broken after such short periode , because i replaced it my self do i have to by a brand new one again?? i thought there was 2 years warranty on original BMW parts. ??

Das Auto fährt ohne Probleme, kein ruckeln oder hoher Spritverbrauch.

Reicht es, wenn ich die Sonde einfach austausche und den Fehler lösche oder muss da irgendwas angelernt werden? Ich habe von nem Bekannten erfahren, dass der Austausch alleine nicht ausreichen würde, stimmt das?
Falls nicht, würde ich mir dir Werkstatt kosten gerne sparen und die Sonde selbst tauschen.

I had this error 2 times with just 16 months between eatch other. Just replace the lambda sonde and erase the error with Ista and that’s it. The first time I bought a original BMW lambda sonde and after 16 months I had the same error, but this time I did not wanted to spend 320 euro for the original BMW sonde and both the Bosh lambda sonde , and gues what? After opening the box the original and the bosh lambda sonde are identical build in the same country. All the lambda sonde are made by Bosh but BMW puts his name on it and then ask 3times the price of the Bosh lambda sonde. I paid 126 euro with delivery from Germany to Belgium.

I always thought the original BMW Lambdas are made by NGK.
how long are you going with the Bosch Lambda now?
I will go with the Bosch as well if there is no issue.

Jetzt hat’s mich auch erwischt, gleicher Fehler, muss in meinen 520d aus 05/2011 auch die gleiche wie aus dem Thread genannten rein? Tu mir gerade etwas schwer die passende Teilenummer zu finden, bei Leebmann steht das die 16 nicht passend sei…
Vielleicht kann mir ja jemand helfen.

Teil Nr. 12 wird passend angezeigt.
Die 12 ist vor dem Filter, 16 die nach dem Filter. Meine aber gelesenen zu haben das gar nicht alle Motoren beide verbaut haben. Gehört deiner vielleicht dazu.

On my BMW 518 D LCI from 2016 there are 2 lambda sondes 1 before the cat and 1 after the cat. Both lambda sondes are the same the only difference is the length of the connection cable. I think the original BMW lambda sonde is also made by Bosh, because they are both identical just one has the BMW mark. Bout the difference in price is huge.

I see. Maybe my pre LCI don’t have the second one. But good to know that the only difference seems to be the length of the cable. Even if I get the wrong one, for tests it should be good enough.
