Hallo,
Vielleicht Sie wissen oder nicht....die Insignia zum USA kommt. Es heisst die Buick Regal. Buick immer eine scheissliches Auto ist, aber nicht jetzt ! Im ein jahr die Regal in US/Kanada produziert werden, nicht Ruesselheim. So Ich wuensche meine Deutsche Regal eine Insignia bei 'Badge Engineering' machen. Ich spreche Deutsch wie einen hirntot Mann, deshalb ich Ihre hilfe mit die richtige Woerter brauche. Ich muss bei fax beschreiben, keine bilder....

did I get you right, that you want to transform your future buick regal back into a good old insignia by changing some badges? 😁 great idea

ever considered shipping an original insignia?
i am not up to date concerning tax issues but shipping could be as expensive as replacing stuff...

Jetzt bin ich mal gespannt, ob unsere "Ami" Englisch versteht. Sie kann mit dem deutschen Genitiv umgehen, hat aber sonst den Sprachfluss eines Volksstammes aus dem Osten.
Nichts für ungut. Man wundert sich halt.

The Regal is not different enough from the Insignia to import an Insignia. Importing is too difficult. The Insignia is much cheaper in the US, because GM wants to compete with US made Hondas (Acuras). An EcoTec 2.4 with 18" Aluraeder, Navi, Moonroof, Leder, 6 speed Automatic costs (with tax) under 24000 euro. Ja, das ist richtig... The US only gets the top models for some reason.
Ich werde eine 6 gang Schaltgetriebe, Moonroof, 2.0T (mit Imscher Chip), Leder, usw kaufen. Das OPC kommt auch und Regal GS heisst. I don't have enough money for that one.

I will bring the parts back on the airplane with me. In my fax I will just draw the parts and maybe the parts department will understand.

US is a grosse Country and they deserve nur the top model and with Irmscher you get eine ganze Menge Dampf under the Haube with approx 300 HP (Hengstpower) 😁

The Regal I saw this week had no indicator in the mirrors. The Regal info from GM I have lists no stop/start system.

What is the best Opel dealer in Berlin ? I contacted Kadea Wilmersdorf, but they will not reply to me.

Hi guys,

please don´t joke around and greetings to the guy using at least a network endpoint near Atlanta.

Anyway, it may be far better for you to order the parts at a dealer in the U.S. because i don´t think they will let you import an airbag (which contains small amounts of explosives) or take it with you in a plane. Also you would have to declare this stuff.

Just try to gather the partnumbers and an avid dealer may be able to order the parts for you.

But remind that you may have to exchange the steering wheel as well. They may also not be released for use in another car than testified. So there are a lot of legal issues to clarify before you can just order them.

it seems i have to disappoint you. The part you were asking for is the airbag assembly and afaik it is differently shaped in the Buick Regal than in the Opel Insignia -> new steering wheel. The cover of the airbag is opening in a crash, so you can not just replace the cover of the part, it is one piece for "one time use". So no one should be able to sell you an "reworked" driver airbag. It has to be new.
