Travelpilot FX Service Pack 2

Hallo,

ich hatte vorgestern das langersehnte Update fürs Navi im Briefkasten. Die Versionsnummern habe ich jetzt leider grade nicht im Kopf, aber bis jetzt bin ich von dem update begeistert.
1. Seit dem habe ich keine "abstürze" des Navis mehr. Bei mir war sporadisch das Radio plötzlich ohne funktionen und reagierte nicht mehr auf Eingaben - das scheint jetzt gefixt zu sein
2. Die Zoom-Funktion der Karte funktioniert jetzt über den rechten Drehregler. Wo führer Zoom-In und Zoom-Out waren ist jetzt eine AUTO-Taste für das Zoomen und eine STUMM Taste für die Navi-Stimme.
3. (Gabs vielleicht vorher schon, ohne das ich das wußte) Eine Auto-Funktion für die Display-Helligkeit, gekoppelt an das Fahrtlicht. Sehr angenehm.

Kann also nur jedem der es noch nicht hat, das Update empfehlen.

Is it possibile to use this service pack also for italian navigation system ?
Are service pack cd UNIVERSAL or i will able to restore italian language after an update ?

thank you very much !!! but i have just remember that i don't have radio pin-code: when i bought my car, the ford seller didn't give me the user manual and radio manual. Is this pin code the same for all cars or is it different ? if it is the same do you have it ?

oook just update. i have found the radio code in car ownership sheet.

After the update, i have insert the navigation cd (travelpilot 2008) but the radio told me that it's an old version and that it is not compatible. I have choosen to continue the installation and everything seems to work good.

I have looked around on internet, but those navigation-cd seems to be unclonable. is it right ? so, if i have to buy it, is year 2010 fully compatible with this version of service pack ?

another question: the engineering mode doesn't work any more. SET+* doesn't open engineering menu.
how can i enter in eng mode now ?
I want to enter in eng mode in order to try to modify TMC radio frequency. In the previouse version, i can enter in eng-mode but i was not able to change TMC frequency. Is it possibile with SP4 ? and how can i do it ?

yes, newer navigation-cd's are compatible. (you should even have at least SP2 for newer navigation-cds)

Try the SET+NAV hidden menu for these settings. The second tuner should scan automatically for other TMC frequencies.

ok, i will buy a new cd soon as possible.

SET+NAV dosen't show TMC option menu. This menu is only reachable in engeneering mode, that was accessible before the update pressing SET+*button.

In italy we have 2 TMC brodcaster, one in the northen partof italy called RAI, another one for central and souther part called RTL.
I live in rome, so central part of italy, and i want to change the TMC setting because ford have choosen RAI as TMC brodcaster, but i was not able to do it before the servie pack update.

I should try now, but engeneering menu is no more availble pressing SET+* .
Even if i will access so eng-menu again, i don't know if it is possible to change the TMC brodcaster.... i hope, but i am not sure...

Does new cd exists ? I mean, i have been to Ford today and they told me that 2010 map ONLY INCLUDE SD-CARD but no more cds !!!
I have checked on teleatlas web site, and they only report SD-CARD as content of the package.

I need a CD-Versione just because i want to transfer maps + MP3s on 16gbyte SDHC that i 'm using right now with 2008 maps !!!!
Are they so crazy that removed the possibility to buy CD ??????

yes, only sd is available... 2010 sd should also contain better tmc support.

hallo,

ich weiß ja nicht ob es nach 4 Jahren noch jemanden interessiert ... aber ich habe eben ein Update auf SP 4.1 gemacht und konnte - als ich nach Abschluss des Update und Neustart des Gerätes zum Einlegen der CD aufgefordert wurde - unter den Einstellungen einfach die SD-Karte als Datenquelle für die Navigation aussuchen. Danach Navigation angewählt, Karte wurde kurz verifiziert - fertig :-)

Hatte die Infos auf einer freundlichen niederländischen Seite gefunden & war froh, da ich auch keine CD zu dem gebrauchten Wagen bekommen habe, sondern nur die SD-Karte und mir so die Suche nach einer CD erspart habe ...

Bei mir zeigt er diese Versionsnummern an, nachdem ich mit einer kürzlich gekauften Version (TomTom Europa 2016) das Update durchgeführt habe. Ich schätze mal, das ist die neueste Version.
