Price Astra TWintop Known
The Belgian Opel-webiste has announced the price of the Opel Astra Twintop. The car can be chosen in the configurator.

I miss one option though: very pale leather seats as I have now in my Astra Cabrio G.

ich weiß gar nicht was du willst!
1. du hast ein CABRIO konfiguriert (das ist immer teurer als ein "normales" modell!)
2. du hast die höchste ausstattungslinie UND einen 1,9er diesel! und das diesel immer teurer sind ist ja wohl auch klar!
3. du hast dir den wagen fast mit vollausstattung konfiguriert, alleine deine sonderaustattung kosten fast 4730€!
4. die preise in austria sind bei euch sowieso etwas höher!
ich versteh deine aufregung also überhaupt nicht, du hast ein vollausgestattes 150PS diesel cabrio der neuseten generation für 36.000€ ein EOS dieser kategorie ist fast 3000€ teurer!!!
wenn es dir zuviel ist lass doch ausstattung weg oder nimm nen anderen motor!?!

Das ist sicher ein Preis für Österreich, in Deutschland wird das etwas günstiger.
Der EOS ist nicht günstiger als der Twintop, der geht auch bei ca. 25000,- los.
Der Preis von 23650,- geht voll in Ordnung, vergelichbare Cabrio´s wie Megane und Peoseot 307 gehen auch in dieser Preisklasse los, schliesslich ist das Auto eine Nummer größer als ein normaler Astra.
Ich denke der Innenraum wird gegenüber dem normalen Astra auch etwas aufgewertet, besseres Leder usw.!
Das Ding ist knapp 4,50 Meter lang und hat nen 440l Kofferraum, dazu noch das aufwendige Klappdach, das kostet alles Geld.
Bin mal gespannt was es als Serienausstattung gibt.
Laut Polle Gazon soll die Ausstattung die gleiche Wertigkeit haben wie die Limousine auch, also keine Verbesserung.
Über den Preis kann man wohl derzeit nur Mutmaßen solange wir nichts genaues wissen. Denke schon, dass unter 30.000 nicht viel geht beim Diesel bzw. 2,0T mit ein bischen Ausstattung. Abwarten und Tee trinken...

Aber die schönen roten Ledersitze von den Bildern gibt es im normalen Astra nicht, also es wird scho nein bisschen was geben, Kleinigkeiten halt.....

The only real difference with the normal Astra are brown (not read) leather seats. I had contact with Opel Belgium and they confirmed me that a lot of people are asking why there are no white/beige leather seats as in the Astra G Cabrio.
Si I wait with the ordering of the Twintop until they put those white/beige leather seats in production.
Bei einen Händler um der Ecke von uns kann man den Astra schon als EU Fahrzeug bestellen. Hat einer von euch schon eine Preisliste vom Opelhändler?

Super, vielen Dank. Die deutschen Preise sind wohl noch nicht bekannt. Hoffe mal das sich dehr Mehrpreis in Grenzen hält.

Ja ok der Startpreis steht fest aber mehr leider noch nicht. Mich interessieren mehr die größeren Motorisierungen und Ausstattungspakete (Infotainment etc.).

I had the oportunity to checkout the new Astra TT on the European Motorshow Brussels during 30 minutes before opening.
Exterior is OK. Beautiful design. The grill of the car is different of the GTC: squares instead of horizontal lines.
The interior is af a different matter. Currently I'm driving the Astra G Cabrio (black with beige leather seats), so I took the time to compare both cars.
The Astra TT is 25cm longer as the Astra G Cabrio, but you don't find any of these cm's in the interior. The passengers in the rear have not gained any speace. On the contrary: they lose headspace, since the metallic roofs comes much lower than the old canvas top. I'm only 1,75cm tall and my head touched the closed roof. I have the impression that the rear seats are positioned higher than with the Astra G Cabrio. This means that the passengers in the rear have a better view in the TT than in the G Cabrio.
The finishing of the interior dissapoint me a lot (and appartenly I'm not the only one since the people on the Opel-stand heard the complaint I will make a lot). The difference with the normal Astra is barely noticible. Just som brown leather seats. That's it. The Astra G Cabrio had beige and red leather seats that made it different from the basic Astra. It's the lack of this beige interior that I don't understand. All the other cabrio's have it. Opel has succeeded in creating (whith the basic Astra) a car which has a very fine interior especially when you buy the cheapest version. But the more luxourious versions have just a few different details. When you compare this for instance with the VW Golf/Eos, than you see that VW succeeds in turning an ugly basic design in the Golf into a luxurious finishing for the Eos. On top af this they offer different options to personalize the interior of the car. The Opel Astra TT: just Enjoy (without leather seats) and Cosmo (with black and brown leather). It's clear that Opel has a different strategy than VW. Opel wants a cabrio that can be sold as cheap as possible (± 20.000) and forgets the people who want to pay 35.000€ for this car. VW will position the car in a higher segment (althouh the car is 10cm shorter as the Astra). They want clients who want a more luxurious car. I think this is strange from Opels part since they have allready a cheaper cabrio (Tigra TT).
Last but not least: the luggage space: 205/440L. Apparently a bigger trunk than the Astra G Cabrio, but looks decieve here. The older Cabrio has ± 350L ALL THE TIME. When I'm driving with an open roof I can still transport some big boxes. With The Astra TT this is not the case anymore. When you want to transport a box that is higher than 20cm in full summer, you have to keep the roof closed. A damn shame. From the functionality point of view the Astra G Cabrio with canves top offered more possibilties than the TT.
All this puts me in a difficult position: I'm a die hard Opel fan and a Cabrio fan. I drove first a Kadett Cabrio, than the Astra F Cabrio and now the G Cabrio. But the TT doen't offer me as much, both practically as from the interior point of view. If Opel would sell the Antara GTC, I would'nt buy the TT. Now I will wait and hope that they change the interior possibilities.
