Kann kein Karten-update herunterladen (FAT32 Problem?)
Hallo zusammen,
mein F-Pace sagt mir ich könnte ein Kartenupdate herunterladen.
Im Auto geht's leider nicht, also zu jaguar.here.com
Dort habe ich mich angemeldet, Kartendownload angestossen, 'map downloader' installiert.
Jetzt sagt mit der Downloader aber nur:
' Please plug in a USB stick with at least 28.8GB of free space' (Refresh)
Ich habe einen USB-Stick mit 64GB (mit Mühe) auf FAT32 formatiert, aber den will er nicht, sieht er nicht?
Wenn ich irgend ein anderes Format nehme, dann verweigert der Wagen den Stick zu erkennen.
Mache ich was falsch?
(Note: Das 'mit Mühe' formatieren ist auf Windows10 bezogen, weil das kein FAT32 Partitionen über 16GB mehr 'mag'. Also mit Fremdtool formatiert.)

Ich habe 3 Sticks getestet. Aber nicht das runterladen war mein Problem, sondern aufspielen im Auto.
Erst der dritte Stick wurde erkannt.
Formatierung auch mit fremdtool FAT32.
Verrückt. Na dann werde ich mal noch ein paar andere Sticks probieren.

Ich verwende Kingston 64 GB, die werden von Jaguar, LandRover empfohlen.
Die musst du gar nicht formatieren sind schon im richtigen Format.
Wenn du neu formatieren musst nimm das HP Format Tool.

Übrigens, einen Stick mit Musik hab ich tadellos nutzen können,
aber derselbe Stick wird nicht im Map Downloader erkannt.
Brandneue Transcent-Karte, 32gb, fat32 wurde direkt vom downloader akzeptiert.
Aber dann nicht im Auto, ich werd wahnsinnig
Hab da was in einem anderen Forum gefunden. Vielleicht hilft Dir das, auch wenn es sehr umständlich klingt:

12. Select navigation and you should see a verifying maps message.
13. Click the button to accept the update.
14. Wait for 15 mins with the ignition on and watch progress. Don't worry if the ignition goes off, just press the Start button and the install will resume.
15. Unit will reboot.
16. In navigation settings check map version against website version.
Happily new roads don't get built that often!! :roll:

So, erst einmal vielen lieben Dank an alle, die geholfen/beigetragen haben!
Ich hab's (endlich!) hinbekommen, und bin mir jetzt recht sicher, dass es SO geht:
1. Go to the Here website jaguar.here.com
2. Sign in using your account credentials or register for an account

5a) es funktioniert praktisch jeder USB3 Stick, ABER er muss mit dem HP Formatierungstool auf FAT32 formatiert werden.
(Andere Formatierungstools geben (zuviele?) Optionen bzgl Blocksize etc, was vermutlich in die falsche Richtung lotst)

6a) Man kann die heruntergeladenen zip-Dateien auch wegsichern, zwischen Sticks kopieren etc, Hauptsache der USB3 Stick ist richtig formatiert.
7. Head for your car.

8a) Insert your USB3 stick with the new maps now (!)
- Hier sehe ich eine klare Abweichung von den oben gegebennen Tips! Der Stick MUSS eingesteckt sein, wenn das Incontrol hochfährt, nachher einstecken funktionierte eindeutig nicht.

NO, do this FIRST!

Bemerkung: wie in 14. oben angedeutet: der Motor muss nicht laufen, es reicht wenn Incontrol läuft. Auch wenn Incontrol sich nach einer Weile automatisch abschaltet, kann man das direkt an der Stelle wieder aufnehmen, keine Probleme. Einfach wieder Zündung starten, auf Navi wechseln, und voila zurück zum Update Status.
Hoffentlich hilft das anderen.
Zumindest bei mir im XJ nimmt der Computer weder
- alles außer FAT32
- höher als USB 2.0
- zu große Medien (64 GB gehen nicht mehr)
Zumindest die letzten beiden Punkte sind technisch nicht plausibel, muss also Zufall o.ä. sein.
Klar, der XJ war seinerzeit, 2010, mit einer sehr hohen Kompatibilität gesegnet, das muss aber nicht unbedingt auch für die heutige Technik gelten.
Der F-Pace ist dafür aber "von heute" weshalb man Inkompatibilität mit USB 3+ ausschließen kann. Dennoch sollte man mal verschiedene Medien und Bauformen (Karte, Stick, Adapter, etc.) ausprobieren.

ich habe seit zwei Wochen F-Type R 5.0 EZ 11/2018.
Nachdem ich mich so nach und nach durch die Bedienung gearbeitet und alle Konten aktiviert habe, war nun das Navi dran.
Heiligabend noch schnell einen 64GB Stick gekauft und gestern Abend neueste Navi-Kartenversion runtergeladen (dauerte Stunden).
Heute Früh frohen Mutes ins Auto und genau nach Jaguar.here Anleitung vorgegangen - was ist passiert? Nix, nur dass mir das Auto mitteilte, dass keine Media Daten gelesen werden können.
Also den Stick nochmal mit der hier empfohlenen HP Software formatiert und wieder knapp 5 Stunden neueste Kartenversion downgeloadet.
Gegen Abend siegessicher rein ins Auto - gleiche Meldung wie heute am Morgen.
Dann habe ich mich an die hier beschrieben Vorgehensweise erinnert - siehe da, nach totaler Verriegelung des Autos wieder geöffnet, Stick eingesteckt und auf Zündung (ohne Bremse) gedrückt.
TaTaaaa - die Software wollte aktualisiert werden.
Also Motor gestartet (nur Zündung war mir zu riskant), eine gemütliche Runde durchs Städtchen gefahren und nach ca. 20 Minuten alles perfekt installiert.
Danke an dieser Stelle für den klasse Hinweis - da kommt man selbst nich so ohne weiteres drauf. Man hat ja schon oft gehört, wenn man sich nicht 100%ig an die Vorgaben hält, ist die Hardware plötzlich unbrauchbar.
Warum steht es dann aber völlig falsch bei Jaguar.here im Internet?? Wie blöd sind die eigentlich, dass die ihre eigene Programmierung nicht kennen???
Schönen restlichen 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag - ich will mir gar nicht ausmalen, wie ich den ganzen Abend gegrübelt hätte, wenn das nicht funktioniert hätte.

Ich werd mir diesem Krempel und Stress nich antuen. GoogleMaps is eh aktueller.. zudem brauch ich dazu auch keine SIM oder wlan in der Karre. (WLAN loggt sich nämlich durch firmwarebugs im Jaguarsystem nicht immer auf den handyhotspot ein)
