Updates
Hallo zusammen,
mein Cupra-Händler hat mich wegen eines anstehenden Update-Termins kontaktiert.
Es müssten umfangreiche Updates aufgespielt werden, um dafür zu sorgen, dass der Wagen dauerhaft verbessert laufen würde. Würde einen ganzen Tag dauern. Eigentlich hab ich bis auf einige Kleinigkeiten mit dem Bildschirm und der Kamera gar keine Probleme. Hat schon jemand Erfahrungen mit diesen Updates gemacht?

Gut, dazu muss man wissen welche StG betroffen sind, auf welche SVersion diese dann geupdated werden und was zb dein aktueller Stand der SW ist, sonst bringt das Thema hier garnix
Meiner macht die Updates selber, über den Bildschirm erhalte ich jeweils die Meldung, dass ein neues Update zur Verfügung steht.
Wenns zuviel ist, gehts nicht mit OTA könnte ich mir vorstellen.
Ich denke auch nicht das alle STG per OTA geupdated werden können (oder im falles eines flash das nur im Autohaus geht)
Mit OTA gehen nur kleine Sachen. Grosse Updates mit Änderung der Version z. B. bei mir von 1664 auf 1672 geht nur in der Werkstatt. Die ziehen das von dem Server auf nen Stick und spielen das auf. Beinhaltet mehrere STG.

Das sind nur Mini-Updates die hauptsächlich den Store betreffen, die großen Updates können alle nur in der Werkstatt aufgespielt werden, weil mehrere Steuergeräte betroffen sind und der Tester benötigt wird.
Große Updates gibt es derzeit 1664 bzw. 1666 auf 1672 (sehr empfehlenswert!) sowie 1788 bzw. 1790 auf 1803 (optional, für die die Fehler haben).

I have 1790 software version and andrioid auto is still not working wireless ... But as was said, big updates only in service center? Can anybody tell me, where we can see, which update is the newest one? If there is some kind of database. Or the best way is to call the service station of your cupra dealer and ask if there is new version of software to my car regarding my VIN number?
Wie findet man die Softwareversion raus?
(Habe einen neuen ateca BJ21, macht das einen Unterschied?)

Should be available soon if your STG of the infotainment is with index "D":

but be aware, maybe Android Auto / Apple Car Play is not allowed to use in some countries (Not sure why, just read this somewhere, so it is blocked by the country code, not by the software i expect)

And you are sure, that your smartphone supports Android Auto wireless?
Hi, yes, maybe the problem could be in my phone (oneplus 6 + 10.3.10 version of android). Maybe I try to use it with some new samsung phone.
My number of the hardware is: 5FA035862E / hardware: H56
My dealer in Slovakia told me that android auto should be available wirelessly from 24th week of production the car (this year). So maybe it will be available also with the new MJ22 models whoch should come from this week of production? Dont know but I will focus on this topic for the future, if anything, I will write here.

I have the 18xx Software Version and Android Auto wireless is working flawlessly.
Suppose for wireless you will need Android 11
Anyway, under Android 10 you can try as follows: open AA on your mobile, move into settings. Scroll down to 'version' and tap it several times. This will give you AA developper options, accessible via the 3 dots-menu on top right corner. Once there, try to activate 'wireless', then connect with your car. Maybe that helps.
