Kurbelwellensensor
Wo befindet sich der Kurbelwellensensor?
Mein Auto MB E200 Kompressor Kombi1.8 l Benzin. Baujahr 2006.
Zündkerzen in gutem Zustand. Benzin kommt mit gutem Druck.

My only fault code was about B6/7 camshaft position Hall-sensor [P0366] unreasonable. Now don't have possibilty to repair engine. In addition maybe valves are damaged as well in addition to bad drive chain and camshaft wheels.
Did the repair shop show you pictures taken with an endoscope camera or do you simply take their word? I personally don’t trust a single mechanic or repair shop anymore. Nothing they have ever said or done was 100% true, honest or performed right.
You could take a cheap $5 iPhone endoscope and go through the spark plug openings to inspect the valves. You can also take the heads off and check for yourself. It’s not that hard and with a little bit of time and patience totally doable at home.
If the teeth are really worn out it is possible the timing is off and would certainly cause the valves to hit the pistons. But check for yourself if you don’t wanna get scammed.
When it comes to timing chain issues I would also check and verify the crank shaft pulley damper didn’t shift on the pulley itself. A lot of mechanics were fooled by that and they spend hours trying to figure out why their timing is off and the engine won’t start.
