BMW WallBox rote Light
Hallo, (sorry, schlechte Deutsch) - ich habe WallBox Typ 61905A1E1B1. Beim Einschalten sind alle Lichter blau, aber nach Aufladen beginnt es becomes rot. Keine support von BMW ("Sie haben WallBox selbst installiert nicht bei Elektriker !"😉. Ich habe alle Einstellungen probiert (DIP-Switch drin) aber immer nach Aufladen rot. Ich habe auch so genannte debug-file herunterladen (mit Android-app) aber nicht sicher was alles das bedeutet. Zum Beispiel - errorID 101 ?

Finally it works ! Who helped me ? - guess - a guy from DELTA - the company who make this product for BMW. He helped me for free ! (can you imagine !). God bless him !
So, my conclusions.
NEVER buy a power device from a car manufacturer (even BMW) ! Buy from a solid company which have long history of producing these devices. So this WallBox I definitely do not recommend !
Beter buy an EV charger that comes with everything inside - circuit breaker, RCCB, power meter - this way you don't need to buy these separately.
BMW WallBox is unfinished product. Maybe there're plans to improve it, but for now user guide and software are just incomplete. Maybe BMW will choose another company for their next-generaton boxes - Gen2 was KEBA, Gen3 is DELTA and so on. You cannot expect consistency doing like this.
So - the problem was switches 6-9 - THEY HAVE TO BE OFF ! (this is what helped me, actually) I'm not sure about 1-5, they are needed for some non-standard power supply, in my case they are off too. User guide is quite misleading - they supposed to limit input current, but this just doesn't work.
And second - switches 1-5, Nr.1 supposed to authorize charging using the application, but this also doesn't work, so MUST BE OFF.
In the mobile application is simply missing "authorise" function - it just shows some settings and charging history.
So final settings:
1-9 - all off
1-5 – only last 3 on (means 32A max charging current, but my car somehow ignores this and uses less for charging, but other combinations - 6A, 12A... also work)

The BMW wallbox Gen 3 is manufacctured by Delta and not by Keba. There is a service app available on the appstore: WallBoxService. When you connect the wallbox via app you can see the configuration and logfiles.
I suppose your wallbox is set up to authenticate the loading via app but the app is not available outside China. So you need to change the dip-switch to "always on".

And why do you blame Delta when BMW is not able to help you with a correct Installation Manual ?

I think your car only can charge with 11kW so it doesn't ignore the max charging current rather it isn't able to charge with 32A...

You've totally misunderstood ! I thank from the bottom of my heart DELTA for helping me without any obligations to do so ! From BMW I was kept of phone for 30 min. they recorded my name, car plate, e-mails and and the end say "sorry, we can't help you, contact someone who is in charge for WallBox !"

That's correct. Maybe it is car setting - detecting AC Level2 charger they just limit it to 11kW to avoid problems 😉

Yes, there is a noise, it always was, but without proper internal swithes setting it will not gonna work.
