macht lpg antrieb dichtungen kaputt?

hallo leute,ein kumpel von mir is ein rechter

australienfan und war auch schon öfter dort.

so kam er auf gasantrieb(lpg),da der ja in

down under recht verbreitet ist.nun geht er

für ne längere zeit runter und hat ne anfrage

an auto barn gestartet (wers nicht kennt,u.a.

eine art gebrauchtwagenfirma in australien),

weil er für die zeit nen gasjeep kaufen will.

nun haben die ihm folgendes geantwortet:

The first point we need to address is the LPG.

We unfortunately don’t sell vehicles that have

had a LPG conversion. As a general note they

don’t ever really run right because when they

are added to cars they are done on a dual fuel

basis and it’s virtually impossible to get the

timing in them to work properly on both the

gas and the petrol.

Often people run them on gas for long periods

of time (because they think it’s cheaper) which

also creates issue’s with the petrol system as

the seals and rubbers aren’t getting lubricated

which causes them to crack and malfunction

which in turn ends up costing more money in

the long run.You have a long and exciting trip

planned from what I can see from the itinery

that you’ve provided me with and I’d hate to

see you buy a vehicle that wouldn’t serve the

intended purpose.Let me know if a petrol engine

would be a consideration for you because if it is

then I will definitely be able to find something

for you to suite your needs.

so wie er und ich des verstehen,verkaufen die

keine lpg autos wegen porös werdender gummis

und dichtungen bei längerem lpg-antrieb,was

auf dauer teurer kommt als benzinantrieb.hat

hier irgendjemand schon langzeiterfahrungen

mit lpg und kann sowas bestätigen oder

wiederlegen?in australien fahren die ja schon

seit jahren mit lpg und müßten des eigentlich

wissen?hierzulande hab ich aber noch nie

dergleichen gehört(halte mich auch schon länger

über lpg aufm laufenden).was stimmt nun?

Auch mit meiner Stargas Polaris ist es unmöglich auf LPG zu starten.

Startet auf Benzin und schaltet kurz danach auf LPG um.
