Toyota US Garantie
Hallo zusammen,
Aus dem Weg vom Flughafen habe ich gestern mit einem Klienten aus den USA geredet und wie's so geht kamen wir auch über die Benzinpreise auf Autos - der Liter <--> Gallonpreis verwirrte ihn erst etwas ;-)).... Er hat mir gesagt dass er 8 Jahre Vollgarantie auf seinen neuen (und dazu noch günstigen) Toyota Camry hat! und zwar von Toyota direkt - das ist ja verrückt....
Weiss jemand zufällig ob das dort normal ist? ... ich fand das jedenfalls ganz schön heftig.... 8 Jahre ist ja hier in Deutschland grob das Durchschnittsleben eines Automobils!!!!

Ja da haben uns die Amis einiges voraus. Auch die Wartungsintervalle sind in USA deutlich kundenfreundlicher. Bei gleicher Technik eigentlich unverständlich.

Ja anscheinend, vor allem weil nach seiner Aussage die Garantie auch praktisch alles abdeckt und das bis zum "hohen" Alter von 8 Jahren..... hat mich halt sehr gewundert, ich dachte bisher immer, dass die Garantieleistungen in Europa gar nicht so schlecht wären...
aber die sind ja dagegen echt lächerlich ;-)

Man muss sich da aber trotzdem mal die Garantiebedingungen durchlesen. Die Dauer der Garantie hängt von vielen Kleinen Punkten ab, so dass man mit "Pech" in der Tat schon nach wenigen Monaten nur noch die gesetzliche Absicherung hat (ok, die ist da in der Regel auch noch recht gut). Das man da längere Wartungsintervalle hat, ist eigentlich einleuchtend ... die Autos werden in den USA wesentlich weniger Stark belastet. Als Hersteller muss ich nunmal HIER einkalkulieren das das Fahrzeug auch schonmal mit 200 über die Bahn geprügelt wird ... etwas das in den USA eher selten vorkommt ;)

Ich denke, es sind genau diese Randbedingungen, die die Asiaten in den USA erfolgreich gemacht haben (neben dem günstigen Preis, geringerem Verbrauch ggü. Amischlitten und vermeindlichen Zuverlässigkeit).
Auch KIA z.B. bietet in den USA sehr lange Garantien...
Allerdings muss man auch bedenken, dass auch dort, soweit mir bekannt, die Garantie an die vorschriftsmäßige Wartungen beim Händler gebunden sind, somit die Händler auf ihre Kosten kommen. Und wie Rotherbach genau richtig geschrieben hat: man denkt an die hohen Geschwindigkeiten hier und geringere dort... da relativiert sich das mit der Garantie zumindest bis zu einem gewissen Grad...

in den USA ist bezüglich der Garantie auch bei Deutschen Autos vieles besser:
zb VW bietet auch dort 7 Jahre Vollgarantie und hier in Europa immer noch nur 2 Jahre
Ganz einfach... hier bezahlen alle ohne zu murren .. weil es hier keinen git der sowas macht! würde jemand etwas rausbringen was gut ist, dann gehen alle direkt zu dem!

Ich werde meine Flat bei Vodafone beibehalten.
Ich werde mir keinen KIA Cee'd mit der 5-7 jährigen Garantie kaufen.
So einfach ist es doch nicht!
Aber in den USA herrschen andere Wettbewerbsverhältnisse...

Er hat gesagt bei seinem Camry wäre alles bis auf die Verschleissteile wie Bremsen unter Vollgarantie ohne jegliche Zuzahlung an Arbeitskosten / Material innerhalb der ersten 8 Jahre (selbst die Akkus!) - Bezahlt hat er 31.000 US Dollar für einen Camry Hybrid.... also ~ 26.000 Euro (neu).... das ist ja auch ein echter Kampfpreis.....
Genaue Garantiebedingungen kenne ich allerdings natürlich nicht ;-) von daher kann ich eben nur weitergeben, was er mir gesagt hat....
Das kann aber so nicht stimmen... habe mir auf der US-Toyota Seite einen Camry Hybrid konfiguriert (ist ja geil - 30TUSD für einen 3.5Liter Hybrid!!!! Mit allen erdenklichen Extras, Leder usw...).
Und hier dazu die Garantiebedingungen:
Basic
36 months/36,000 miles (all components other than normal wear and maintenance items).
Powertrain
60 months/60,000 miles (engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, seatbelts and airbags).
Federal Emission Coverage
Components under the federal emission defect warranty are covered for 36 months/36,000 miles and specified major emission control components are covered for 8 years/80,000 miles. Specified major emission control components under emission performance warranty are also covered for 8 years/80,000 miles. In addition, emission performance warranty is applicable for 24 months/24,000 miles in states and local jurisdictions that require a periodic EPA-approved inspection and maintenance program.
California Emission Control Coverage
In California and any other state that adopts California emission warranty provisions, performance warranty and defect warranty coverage is applicable for 36 months/50,000 miles, and specific control devices are covered for 7 years/70,000 miles.
Accessories
Warranty coverage is for 12 months, regardless of mileage. If the part or accessory is installed during the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period, coverage is for 12 months or the remainder of the applicable warranty coverage, whichever is greater, with the exception of car covers, which are covered for 12 months only. You may be eligible for transportation assistance if it's necessary that your vehicle be kept overnight for repairs covered under warranty. Please see your authorized Toyota dealership for further details.

Man darf auch nicht vergessen, dass die Garantien in den USA teilweise an recht merkwürdige Bedingungen geknüpft sind.
Hyundai wirbt z.B. mit 10 Jahre/160.000km. Der Haken: Die Garantie gilt nur für Teile des Antriebsstrangs und nur für den Erstbesitzer. Wechselt das Auto den Besitzer, reduziert es sich auf 5 Jahre.
