Audi
Themenstarteram 16. Juni 2017 um 14:28

Hello,

I have the following graphical 8 sensor back up camera control unit

Part No SW: 8K0 919 475 G HW: 8K0 919 475 A

Component: PARKHILFE 8K H06 0040

Proposed firmware update:

Part No SW: 8K0 919 475 R HW: 8K0 919 475 A

Component: PARKHILFE 8K H06 0070

I need the SVM. Does anyone have such information??

Cheers

Spuerer can you suggest a reason why it works with facelift and why it does not work with prefacelift?? Thanks

Facelift läuft über Bordnetzsteuergerät... must Du beim Händler erfragen...

I will try to ask them.

First tested svm 10A001. Did not work

After installing odis eng 6.7.5 in window 7 x32, extracted AU48X for Q5 (from project.iso) and the update file, I was loaned a VAS5054a, then at home I flashed Parking Assist from 8K0 919 475 G 0040 to 8K0 919 475 R 0070 while engine running and worked. :). I have latest control module.

Also flashed instrument cluster to 0258 from 0253. I could not observe any difference visually though there are more coding settings.

Now I have to test if I can enable RADAR distance to display visually.

Nice

My vcds fails to read this control module 8K0919475R in autodetect and when selecting codings.

Unable to find a Rod file for

EV_ECM20TFS0118R0907115R 001002 (AU48)

Does anyone know how to fix this issue??

Any rod file for 8K0919475R???

Thanks

Update:

Problem sorted out after reinstalling VCDs.

All working and coding now can be selected.

I have not observed any differences in the new firmware or in its coding settings.

No Scan DTC problems.

VCDS Update!

pdc unit needs no .rod file, your label files are not correct.

and...

the newest update for pdc unit is 0082 Index AA ;)

Thanks for your opinion, but I thought about it too before I flashed.

SW: 8K0 919 475 AA (HW: 8P0 919 475 N) has different hardware thus firmware most probably not compatible with my PDC unit. But latest compatible is the one I have flashed. Only possible with odis engineering.

SW: 8K0 919 475 R HW: 8K0 919 475 A same hardware part no as: SW: 8K0 919 475 G HW: 8K0 919 475 A

I did comparative tables before flashing because I did not want to destroy PDC by flashing wrong firmware. I tried not to gamble with expensive parts.

I agree that latest is 8K0 919 475 AA. This would only make sense if I was to buy a new one.

I have reinstalled VCDs and problem corrected (vcds confusion after flashing to new firmware).

Has anyone firmware updated PDC 8K0919475R 0070 (with HW 8K0 919 475 A) to 8K0 919 475 AA 0082?? with odis engineering??

Flashing with odis engineering different part numbers is generally not recommended (I have done it above but only because hardware part number was the same after seeing that newest part number had same description).

There are cases that this may work but it is risky. If there was an SVM to confirm this I could have done it. Many times flashing with SVM had changed control unit SW suffix and firmware number but that is confirmed by Audi online database.

Searching google for vcds scans with SW:8K0 919 475 AA and HW:8K0 919 475 A has zero results. So this was not tested.

Now you know how I concluded to flashing 8K0919475G 0040 to 8K0919475R 0070. They both have same hardware part number and same description, and R was offered in later MY.

This is the reason I have not flashed ABS control unit with TPMS capability (1AT) to a newer firmware with brake type torque vectoring capability. There is no SVM and HW part no is different.

Part No SW: 8R0 907 379 C HW: 8R0 907 379 C

Component: ESP8 quattro H06 0230

Audi could not assist me in this question.

Audi Cyprus does not have odis engineering, so they can only flash with SVM.

And this is my new firmware confirming VCDs is now working.

Address 10: Park/Steer Assist (J446) Labels: 8K0-919-475.clb

Part No SW: 8K0 919 475 R HW: 8K0 919 475 A

Component: PARKHILFE 8K H06 0070

Revision: 11001001 Serial number: 400409026xxxxx

Coding: 100105

.......................................

No fault code found.

Park assist firmware update was done home with odis engineering same time but after I successfully flashed my instrument cluster to firmware 0258. I don't have the VAS5054a tool anymore, since I have returned it back to its owner. Mission completed.

I have updated my pdc unit HW:8K0 919 475 A with the AA Index, there was no problem...(VCP)

Nice. You must be the first who tried. I wish I knew this before updating to R.

1. Have you gained something by updating to AA?? The two have different hardware number. What pushed you to update to AA??

2. Can you suggest which firmware to update for ESP control module in order to get brake type torque vectoring? (8R0 907 379 C has 1AT TPMS support). Do you have such information? I am asking you because you seem to be more informed than me.

Thanks

Mainly I was thinking in terms of the following:

8R0907379BG_0030.sgo (made for Q5 2013-2017) which is the only double suffix firmware available

PR-A8U+1AT+1LC,1LP

(the 8K have many).

Themenstarteram 22. Juni 2017 um 17:37

Have you tried to flash firmware in order to enable XDS in Quattro 2009-2012?? XDS = extended differential lock (brake type torque vectoring). I am insisting for a reply :0 because I am fond of the idea of enabling XDS in my Q5. Anyone with this internal information?

Themenstarteram 6. September 2017 um 18:02

What is the respective Audi Q5 (8R) model for back up camera?? I need to try this if this coding works. Probably I will choose Q7 model

x0x0x ??: Model

01 = Audi Q7 (4L)

02 = Audi A8 (4E) Short Wheel Base

03 = Audi A8 (4E) Long Wheel Base

04 = Audi A6 (4F) Sedan / Rest of World (RoW)

05 = Audi A6 (4F) Wagon / Avant

06 = Audi A4 (8K) Sedan

08 = Audi A5 (8T) Coupé

12 = Audi R8 (42)

14 = Audi A6 (4F) Sedan / China (CHN)

Also I need to find out what are the following camera heights in real terms in order to choose the most appropriate one

x0x0? xx: CameraHeight

0 = Camera Height 1

1 = Camera Height 2

2 = Camera Height 3

3 = Camera Height 4

4 = Camera Height 5

5 = Camera Height 6

6 = Camera Height 7

7 = Camera Height 8
