Remote package not available anymore

Hi,

I have a 2019 V-Klasse and my Remote Package expired last week and I was going to renew it with the surprise it is not available anymore...

I checked Mercedes Me website and look for it and the Digital services area with no luck.

I also called Mercedes to ask about it and they told me something about 2G and 3G networks and that they cannot do anything....bla bla blaaa

(uk website says this: Due to shutdown of the 2G and 3G network by the telecommunications providers, this Digital Extra is no longer available for vehicles with internet access via 2G and 3G.)

I don't believe this is affecting my vehicle....so this last week I was using it with no problem and Mercedes me still shows vehicle information, so they can connect to it.

I used it sometimtes lock/unlock doors also to locate the vehicle or to know when the vehicle was leaving/entering home area (geofencing), also to activate remotely the heater.

I cannot understand this decision to remove the package

The only package available at this moment is the Navi Package which I found really useless for our V-Klasse (it offers only live traffic info and available parking spots information)

It doesn’t matter what you think or believe.

If Mercedes stopped offering this service there’s nothing you can do.
Just stop wasting your time.
