Post in English, sorry!
Hello. I know this is a German web page, but I figured that maybe a few of you know English. I would like an opinion on the Honda Shadow VLX VT600c motorcycle. What I mean is, what do you Germans think of it? The styling, etc...I love it personally. I'm asking because I'm a huge fan of the whole motorcycling scene over there and would love to travel over there and ride with some of you someday 🙂. Below is a very bad translation of this into German. Sorry, I had to use a free online translator. I need to learn German 😉.
Hallo. Ich weiß, dass das eine deutsche Webseite ist, aber ich glaubte, dass vielleicht einige von Ihnen Englisch kennen. Ich möchte eine Meinung auf dem Honda Schatten VLX VT600c Motorrad. Was ich meine, ist, was tut Sie, denken Deutsche daran?

Hi Chris..
Riders in Germany under age 25 are restricted to bikes with "only" 34bhp or a certain power/weight ratio for 2 years. After this two years, or you do your license when you are 25, you are allowed to go for more bhp..
Still, 34bhp are by far enough for the beginning and you still can go for ~95mph. And we are allowed to go that "fast" on our Highways ("Autobahn" in german). hihi
Greetings
Toby
p.s.: Where exactly are you from?
Might be you're interested in the Honda Motorcycle Forum here at Motor-Talk.
You can find the link in the box on the left side which says "Motorrad Foren"

The threat starter has posted this theme in the forum you described.
😁
Really, he did? I think a mod has moved it here - or I'm very confused these days 😉
Mh... I just asked myself if you guys in the US greet eachother while riding?
In Germany it is quite common to greet other Bikers. What is it like in the US?
typically, we'll put the left hand down sort of like a wave. A head nod is pretty common too, but this is usually only from the "real bikers". that is, people who ride the harley davidsons. but yeah, its pretty common here too.
Changing Battery
Hi Chris,
I told you a few days ago, that I'll try to detach
the battery in my Shadow.
Well, I got it! I made a few pictures with my mobile phone.
I could make some kind of manual how to do it.
If someone is interested please mail me, or post it in this thread.
Chris, I hope we'll meet in germany next summer 😮)

Hey, good to hear you got that battery off! I'd love to see how you did it.
I decided to join the Air National Guard (part of the US AirForce). so, it'll be pretty easy for me to get a flight over to Germany in awhile. I'll keep you posted.
