D5 jetzt auch im S40 V50!
Hallo,
mein freundlicher hat mir gerade erzählt,dass es den V50/S40 jetzt auch mit dem D5 Motor geben wird er hat 180 PS und ist wohl ausschhließlich mit der Geartronic zu bekommen.
Lieferbar soll er ab dem zweiten Quartal sein.-
Der sollte echt gut gehen im V50 :)

Genauer gesagt..
Planung ist aber eher viertes Quartal 2006. Zunächst ist der C70 dran, dann S80, dann das Motoren "Update". Man munkelt auch, dass in Detroit der C30 präsentiert wird.
Wurde auch schon hier diskutiert.
Die Premiere des C30 in Detroit glaube ich noch nicht so richtig, obwohl ich das Gerücht auch schon gehört habe. Zunächst muss ja aber mal der S80 vorgestellt werden. Und außerdem behauptete Volvo selbst dieses Jahr in Detroit, dass der C30 im Herbst 2006 präsentiert werden wird.

DAS war bisher vollkommen an mir vorbei gegangen.
Wenn das wirklich war ist, hat sich Volvo selbst ins Bein geschossen.

Die Zielgruppe "jüngerer, sportlicher Dieselfahrer" will man dann offenbar nicht bedienen.

Ich vermute, dass das (zensiert) PSA-Getriebe nicht an den D5 gekoppelt werden soll. Die werden wohl das M66 adaptieren?

was bitte hat jung und sportlich mit handschaltung zu tun?
haben schumi und co ein kupplungspedal?
sowas vorsinflutliches kommt mir nicht mehr ins auto... ;)

Das musst Du 90% der deutschen Autokäufer fragen.
In Europa ist eine Automatik (vor allem in dieser Wagenklasse und zumindest den Zulassungszahlen nach) nach wie vor ein Nischenprodukt.
Ich gebe Dir da schon recht, wer einmal eine Automatik hatte, der möchte keinen Handschalter mehr haben.
Trotzdem weiss ich nicht, ob die Kombination "kleines"(extra in Anführungszeichen), sportliches Auto mit bärenstarkem Motor kombiniert mit einer Automatik wirklich die beabsichtigte Zielgruppe zufrieden stellt.
Vielleicht gibts ja wirklich technische Gründe

Da Ford für den neuen Focus für 2006 ein eigenes Direktschaltgetriebe entwickelt könnte es doch sein,das es dieses Getriebe auch für die Volvo`S geben wird.
Es gibt nichts sportlicheres als ein DSG,ich fahre es im GTi V es ist absolut ein Traum.

das wäre definitiv ultimativ und dürfte IMO auch "sportlich" genannt werden... hab's ja gesagt: einfach kein kupplungspedal ;)

Volvo is adding a powerful 180bhp version of its new generation, 2.4-litre D5 turbodiesel to the V50 Sportswagon range.
Key facts:
* 180bhp, five-cylinder turbodiesel.
* 350Nm of torque.
* 0-62mph: 8.8 seconds (geartronic – preliminary figures).
* Low emissions, Euro IV engine, with particulate filter to reduce soot particles by 95%.
* 5-speed geartronic transmission (manual to follow).
* Prices and specifications to be announced in spring 2006.
* Available in UK from June/July 2006.
The new five-cylinder, 2.4-litre, 180bhp D5 turbodiesel will join the existing four-cylinder, 136bhp 2.0D, currently the most popular model in the V50 Sportswagon range, to provide a choice of two powerful turbodiesels for the UK's continuing strong demand for diesel flexibility and economy.
The combination of the higher performance of the larger 2.4-litre D5 engine in the Volvo V50's Sportswagon bodyshell will make it an attractive and competitive alternative to other premium diesel rivals, such as the Audi A4 Avant 2.5TDI (161bhp) and the ubiquitous BMW 3-Series touring 320D (163bhp). This 180bhp version of the D5 engine will also become available in the all new Volvo C70 coupe/convertible in summer 2006, and will also be extremely competitive against the diesel-powered soft-tops from Audi and BMW.
"The Volvo V50 D5 is very competitive in the premium sector for compact diesel cars," says Peter Ewerstrand, Volvo Car Corporation project manager. "The engine's high performance and the body's torsional rigidity, together with the widely acclaimed chassis, result in a wonderful driving experience with the emphasis on power, control and comfort," Peter continued.
The D5 engine is derived from Volvo's second generation, Euro IV compliant D5 (and 2.4D) engines introduced to the S60 saloon, V70 estate, XC70 AWD and XC90 AWD models earlier this year, but in order to fit the five-cylinder engine into a smaller engine compartment, the entire engine installation and most of the ancillaries have been altered, and the manifold and turbocharger have, for example, been integrated into one single unit.
An electronically controlled turbocharger and an advanced injection system for efficient combustion result in smooth performance delivery and masses of torque (350Nm), with low emissions and high fuel economy. The Volvo V50 D5 will initially be available with a five-speed geartronic transmission, which according to preliminary performance figures is capable of 0-62mph in 8.8 seconds. A manual version will follow in 2007.
Full details, including prices and specifications, are due to be announced in spring 2006, with the first cars arriving in June/July.

Resultat:
- Zuerst nur als Automatik mit leider nur 5 Gängen
- Handschaltung wird folgen
- deutlich verringertes Drehmoment gegenüber dem D5 in den P2-Modellen und eigentlich nicht großartig viel mehr als im 2.0D
Trotzdem wird das wohl ein sehr schönes Wägelchen werden. Hoffentlich klatschen sie noch den AWD dran.
Heute kam die News, daß der D5 mit 180 PS im S40 und V50 im Frühjar 2006 kommt.
