Distronic PLUS - overtake on right lane

On beginning I’m sorry that I wrote in English, but it is probably the biggest place where I can find users of new C class.

I have question about Distronic PLUS. On manual it is marked that with activated Distronic (and speed over 80km/h) car shouldn’t overtake cars on right. In manual you can find:

"The system takes into account the fact that overtaking on the right is not permitted on motorways or high-speed major roads at speeds above 80 km/h. The driving speed is adjusted to the speed of the queue of vehicles in the adjacent lane to the left."

It is not working in my car. I can overtake cars on right. I don’t know that it is problem only with my car or that function not working at all C classes. How it is in yours cars?

I ask Mercedes CAC and answer was – that function is working only in E and S class. In manual C class is mistake ant that function is not working in W/S205.

There's already a thread about that topic. As far as I remember this feature only works in combination with COMMAND. If you have Garmin it won't.

The System need the information from the maps in the navigation System (allowed speed, number of lanes, direction etc). Because the Garmin System is not full integrated, its not possible to get this information...

and why can you get then Distronic Plus without command? ...

This feature isn't available in each car. Cars for Germany and some other countries have this option, cars for countries without this traffic rule don't.

The German law says <80 km/h is the as is speed to overtake on right lane. This has nothing to do with the allowed speed. So why does the system need the allowed speed?

Same for number of lanes and direction? Does it matter which direction you drive? North yes, but south no? Really? Doesn´t make sense or?

Can confirm that this function is only available in combination with Comand.

Got this information directly from Mercedes-Benz Stuttgart. My W205 equipped with Distronic Plus and Garmin overtakes on the right lane of a german Autobahn also well above 80km/h, while our S212 with Comand and Distronic Plus does only with a speeed up to 80km/h.
