Hello,
hope it is not to late, some genereal information about the A2 and the FSI:
it needs 98 octane gasoline, also runs with 95 octane, but has less power and cosumes more fuel
Torque beneath 2000 rpm is very poor, above it runs, as I think, like a former GTI.
Suspension is quite stiff and it gets noisy with hight revs.
The price seems all right for the car, not too hight. But:
within the next 20000 km you will need a change of the cambelt, quite expensive. Maintenance in general is quite expensive, and I would recomment only an audi dealer, also for repairs, everything is squeezed under the hood, speaking of hood, it has no hinge, you take it off, you have it in your hand. Body is, as I guess you know, made form aluminium and plastic, so any body work is expensive (f.e. special coatet screws) so mechnic should know, what he is doing.
I had some trouble with my FSI: change of gearbox, change of central controller, two times change of ignition coil (VW problem), change of NOX catalytic converter and ohter minor things.
"Open Sky System" is an ongoing subject in most of the blogs, bowden cable tends to tear. very costy repair, in my case two plastic hooks just broke off, still works and I keep praying.
Here comes the good part:
it is fun to drive, goes around the corner like a go cart, it is very roomy inside, it has wonderful confortabel seats, has a very good milage with decent speed (under 120 km/h) and I love the aluminium door opener inside :-).
So... decide well!!!
regards Alesie
