Wiresless Android Auto (kein CarPlay)

Der Gegenpart zu Wireless CarPlay (für Apple).

Hier dreht sich alles um Android Smartphones. Und das dazugehörige Softwareupdate.

BMW hat es schnell raufgespielt, für Audi soll es (angeblich) auf jeden Fall kommen. In einer Limousine wurde es wohl schon getestet lt. eines Users hier.

Hab ein Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 und ein Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max. Beide verbinden sich 10/10 mal - egal mit welchem Phone ich unterwegs bin. Muss dann halt noch das Richtige im MMI auswählen unter "Verbundene Geräte" - aber das ist ja kein Umstand (MMI will sich immer mit zuletzt verbundenem Gerät verbinden).

Problem: Die App TomTom Go gibt über Android Auto Wireless den Ton nur über das Smartphone aus, bei USB-Kopplung wie gewünscht über MMI. Alle anderen Apps liefern den Ton über MMI, nur TomTom Go nicht!
Samsung S10 mit Root, Android 12
MMI über Bluetooth verbunden, aber beim S10 Wireless fehlt Audio. Bei einem S20 ist Audio vorhanden (siehe Fotos)
In den Bildern einmal die Bluetooth- Angaben zum S10 und zum S20
Es ging mal, aber plötzlich nicht mehr.

Hat jemand eine Idee? Danke vorab!

Nach 3 Monatiger Spotify Nutzung bin ich nun wieder bei Amazon Music gelandet,da ich vom Bruder den Family Account mit nutzen kann... Und es ist wirklich zum heulen,es klappt einfach nicht mit dem sich Lieder wünschen.
Spiel Musik von Eminem - der Audi sagt es,das er es von Amazon Music spielen will und es kommt einfach ganz andere Musik die ich in den letzten 6 Monaten mal gehört habe.

Und das ist nicht einmal so,sondern ständig.
Spotify läuft wunderbar,jetzt jeden Monat 10-12Euro da reinstecken will ich aber auch nicht.

Jemand einen Tip für mich?

Hi, old thread this resurrecting hope some one can help. I have bought a 08/20 8Y with 1 USB A and 1 USB C, it has SW 3853 and 5Ghz Wi-Fi is available but whatever I do I cannot connect AA wirelessly, I don't have the option on the MMI to connect wirelessly just USB. I have reset MMI forgot everything, re-connected to 5Ghz and BT. Still no option.
Do I still need to code this with ODBAPP or ODB11 ? ODB app ?

Hi, no need to code! Which smartphone do you have? Which Android version? Are “Developer” and “Unknown Sources” checked in the developer settings in the Android Auto app? Is the smartphone connected to the MMI via Bluetooth?

Android Auto Wireless may then not be possible. I have got the update to 3620 and since then Im connected without cable. But I got 2 Usb C in the front, so there's other hardware.

You can only code wireless car play but not Android Auto as I know

you need an adapter for this. My best experience is the Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto Car Adapter. On Amazon
(https://www.amazon.de/.../B09PQ95GY4) just for 69,99 €. Its a very good price and it works perfectly!

@mackus. Android 13 galaxy a54.
I am away at the moment but I think you may have something with unknown sources as i just checked and its not selected. Will be back to my car at weekend and will try if it works I will buy you a drink.

It's unfortunately not possible with 1 USB A and 1 USB C port to have Android Auto wireless. The requirement is 2 USB C ports, because the hardware of the MMI changed in 2021 to support Android Auto wireless.
You can only make it work with an Android Auto wireless adapter.

@Tizen99 is right! My car is 09/2020, MMI SW is 3620, I have 1 x USB-A and 1 x USB-C.
For our car is Android Auto not possible wirelessly, only with an adapter.

@mackus Have you seen the post by deer.w in the link I posted ? He even has pics with it working after coding his 9/20 using odb11 with USB A and C so I know its possible. The hardware is definatly capable on our early builds. Here is a screenshot of deer.w picture.
I am using a dongle at the moment but its unreliable which is why I want to get thia working !

You can buy and test the dongle MA1 from Amazon without risk. If it doesn't work as desired, it can be returned without any problems.
There are x variants of hard- and software for our A38Y. I tried everything with my Audi service, in the end they gave me a voucher for €200 so that I was satisfied. But that didn't help me either!
If you have a solution, please share. I'm still interested in it, although it works perfectly with my dongle.
But I won't code anything for myself.

Turning on "unknown sources" in AA made no difference, that was the last thing to try. I will put up with the Dongle for now and may purchase ODB11 and code it on like @deer.w posted last year.
