Tuning / upgrade Audi Sound System (ASS)
Hallo zusammen,
ich bin an einem reversiblen (leasinggeeigneten) Tuning / Upgrade am ASS interessiert.
Hat jemand Ideen?
Hat jemand z.B. den Subwoofer gegen einen aktiven anderen Sub getauscht? Gibt es hierzu Vorschläge bzw. eine Anleitung?

Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gutt, ich probiere es mal im English. Vielleicht kann jemand translieren:
I have ordered my B9 deliberately with the standard audio sytem with 8 passive loudspeakers because of the fact that i was fully aware that not even the B&O System would match my expectations. My former cars were an A4 B8 2008 with ASS (the one with the amplifier so that car sounded good and after that an A5 Sportback 2012 with ASS wich sounded poor).
The main problems of the standard system and Audi sound system are the poor quality of the speakers, bad filtering of these speakers (the main woofers play full range and are not even filtered to only play the frequenties that they must and the tweeters are only filterd with a condensator). Another probleem is that the signal from the head-unit is messed up with a Loudness effect and this signal changes by turning up the volume (the effect of Loudness becomes less).
The second reason is that for an after-market upgrade with an amplifier you need a high-level signal and the more standard (no DSP) the audio is the easyer it is to use this high-level signal.
This signal is now feeding a Mosconi One 130.4dsp amplifier wich is mounted (invisible) on the left side of the trunk. The main adventief of a DSP is that you can tune your audio system to your personal preferences better than only low- and high and also get rid of room interference. The standard speaker of the front doors and the standard dashboard tweeters are replaced by a Hertz compo set. But not before the doors were treatened with vibration damping. For the low frequencies we added a subwoofer wich is placed, in my case, in the trunk but if you need all the space there are also good solutions that can be placed at the position of the spare tyre.
The result? Behond expections, the sound is crisp and clear with slam and there is a wide soundstage wich is placed in front of me, above the dashboard and not anywhere under my feet.
I have added some foto's, i hope this will help people getting the sound they like and matches the rest of the car performances.

Bin ich auch dran interessiert, da gegenüber dem Vormodell der Klang absolut unterirdisch ist. Ka was sich Audi dabei gedacht hat...

Wäre auch sehr an einer Lösung interessiert, ob man z.B. einfach andere Lautsprecher einbauen kann : )

@ Marius1968: Good description, I was as well thinking about a DSP-Amp but was struggling in identifying the HI-Level signals from the original AMP. Where do you get the sigmals from? I understood that the Audi Amp is located in the front inside/behind the glovebox. Did you take the signals from there?
Sorry for my late reaction. The answer is yes.
Ich häng mich jetzt mal hier an. Der Bass beim ASS ist jetzt nicht so prickelnd und deswegen würde ich auch gerne was anderes probieren. Ebenfalls möglichst einfach und Leasing-tauglich.
Der originale Sub ist ja in 2min ausgebaut - es sind nur 3 Muttern. Die Batterie könnte näher nicht sein und die Signale vom Subwoofer (high Level) sind ebenfalls da.
Also braucht es nur einen aktiven Subwoofer, der genau an die Stelle passt und mit high Level umgehen kann.
Mit etwas Spiel müsste eine Box mit dem Abmaß von rund 450x200x250mm reinpassen. Kennt da jemand was adäquates in der Größe?
Alternativ heißt es selber eine Box bauen und ne separate Endstufe nehmen...

Kenne die aktuellen Maße des B9 nicht, könnte mir aber gut vorstellen,
dass die Maße nicht wirklich vom B8 sehr variieren.

Schau ich mir mal an..
Das klappt im b9 wohl nicht.. da sitzt ja die Batterie..
Tut sie beim B8 doch auch. Der Subwoofer vom Golf wird auf die Batterie draufgesetzt. Nur der Aufsatz mit dem Werkzeug oder was da drin ist muss weggelassen werden. Außer die Mulde ist nicht so tief wie beim B8, so dass der Ladeboden nicht mehr drauf passt. Kenne die diesbezüglichen Unterschiede zwischen B8 und B9 aber auch nicht.
Da ist ja kaum noch Platz nach oben. Kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass da. Ich ein Sub reinpassen soll..
Hab jetzt den Halter fürs bordwerkzeug und den original Sub rausgeschmissen und hinten einen Axton aktiv Sub reingesetzt. Angesteuert per high Level von Original Sub.
Geht gerade so rein und spielt eigentlich genau an die Batterie, bringt aber guten Bass!
Ist eben einfach, reversibel und mit 170€ nicht besonders teuer..
Sorry ich muss so doof fragen. Einfach 1 zu 1 die Anschlüsse genutzt oder musstest Du noch kabeltechnisch neue Dinge verlegen?
Strom von der Batterie nehmen, Masse von der Karosserie und die Kabel des originalen subwoofers direkt am neuen anklemmen (Stecker muss halt weg, oder du nimmst zum Test Stromdiebe). Der Remote wird nicht benötigt, der der Axton Sub ein "Auto on" via high Level nutzt.
Du musst also kein einziges Kabel durchs Auto legen.
