Radiobeleuchtung SC 802

Moin Männers und Mädels,

nach der OP kommt jetzt langsam die Phase der Langeweile.

Bei meinem SC 802 versagt nach und nach die Beleuchtung und ich hasse nichts mehr wie unvollständig funktionierende Beleuchtungen.

Hat einer von euch schon mal probiert die Beluchtung im Radio zu ersetzen?
Falls ja, wäre eine kleine Beschreibung und ein Tip welche Leuchtmittel benötigt werden ganz nett.

hat zufällig jemand die genaue Bezeichnung der Birnchen, also diese Sockelbirnchen. Leider sind die Links in der SuFu nicht mehr aktuell.

O.k. Danke. Die hatte ich gefunden. Suche allerdings die mit Sockel sozusagen als fertige Variante mit Namen und Leistungsbeschreibun z.B. 12v 1.2watt

Mit Sockel bekommst du die nur bei Volvo und eventuell bei Skandix kosten aber das fünfache.

Die müssten passen wobei du das "Kondom" von der jetzigen Beleuchtung der neuen Lampe anziehen musst

Thanks very, very much for your description and photo's about how to dis-assemble a Volvo bigfront SC-90X.
I have got two SC-901: one with a working cd3 player but bad FM tuner and one with a good working radio part but not working CD-3 player (CD3 error). And guess: I have put the working CD player into the one with the good working radio. Tralalala! It works again as desired. I am happy.
Just one remark: In the SC-901 is the CD player fixed by 4 screws: the 2 at the back of the box as indicated in one of your photo's. The third is outside the box at the leftside and the fourth is inside the box visible from above at the left part. Perhaps this information might be usefull for other SC-901 repair issues.
It appeared to be a piece of cake.

Congrats on getting it working again! The SC 90x weakness is the CD changer mechanism (I think due to its complexity). The SC 900 also has issues with the radio receiver. The 901 is in this aspect way better.

Thanks for your reply and kind words.
Just a short introduction: I am new on this forum and finally found after long internet searce your answer which enabled me to solve this SC-901 problem. Again many thanks for that. Riding almost 18 years my much beloved Garnett red 1999 (ex-German) C70 T5. The best car I ever had and still lots of fun driving it. After 21 years approxx. 220k km. So many good years to follow (I hope).
The SC-901 worked perfectly for about 19 years and as far as I can judge it is, for its time, a master piece of enginering and still with excellent performance.
Somewhere and somehow in 2018 the CD player would not reject anymore. The cd tray was stuck and the display showed 'CD3-error''. From other internet sites I discovered the trick how to release the tray and the cd by turning the upper gear, cleaning the lense etc.. But since then the SC-901 would not insert the cd tray anymore. After inserting the tray, with or without cd, there is not sign or sound of the motor mechanism to do any attempt to insert the tray. By turning the upper gear I think having found the right position of the insert mechanism in which it would feed in and after just a slight turn of the gear it would slide out. But again somehow the little motormechanism seems dead. After having inserted the tray and pushing the eject button the display again shows the ÇD3 error' message. So, somehow the apparatus recognizes that something is wrong with the cd player. I hardly can imagine that the motormechanism has been burned or something Is there something in the mechanism that requires a reset somehow to bring it in the correct position or a trick to re-activate the motormechanism again?

Do you might have any clue or idea about why the cd motor mechanism seems dead or does not respond?
Just out of curiosity.

Hmm can't really tell, it's a long time since I played with these units. As far as I remember for the movement of the unit there are som microswitches involved which report when the end position is reached. 7 years ago I swapped the 901 for a black premium sound 805.

Es gibt die Leuchtmittel mittlerweile auch im Aftermarket für sehr kleines Geld.
Habe im letzten Jahr für 20 Stück keine 10 Euro bezahlt.
Ist ein standardisierter Sockel,aber nur sehr selten zu finden.
