Michael

Hi
Today i got the car with installed Helix. This device (sub from Helix) is for me FANTASTIC!😁 Sound now is what sound should be.That means rich bas and good high levels.VW dealer spent nearly three hours to built it.The price for sub + switch in the box (beifahrer ) + work=570€. But it is worth every euro.
Here is link where you can see sub and the car.

Does that remote control simply switch between original soundsystem and helix? Are there another remote controls for helix? And where to get them from?
By the way: I'm not a professional mechanic and I needed 1 hour to build that system in my Golf. I needed most of the time for the quadlock but with the tools of my dealer it was done in 5 minutes.
3 hours.. wow 😁

Hi bofbaz
I should say it is not remote controle but just switch. Yes you are right it just switch between Helix and original VW sound.I think there are no other remote controls (switches).
Well three hours....yes sounds big but mounting Helix was included in price so...for me it is important that the thing (Helix) is mounted in the car and that sounds good - AND IT DOES!😁

But.... there is NO Switch between the MIB Amplifier and the Helix Amplifier.
The MIB Amp always starts and puts out the original HighLevel Signals. These Signals get into the Helix Amp, which starts and produces own Signals.

I think it is in case of using a spare wheel, that question has been dicused here before 🙂
Some Users would like to take a spare wheel for Holiday, but without a Switch the Soundsystem would not work 🙂

Would you please kindly ask your dealer where to get that switch from?
Or is there a part number written on that thing?
I find it really practical if there would be a way to turn it off in case of a long trip where you could need the space more than the sound 🙂
