Gabelöl wechseln Speedmaster
Hi, Ich habe eine 2011 Speedmaster, nun möchte ich das Gabelöl wechseln, weil die Gabel beim Bremsen bis zum Anschlag eintaucht. Weiß jemand die Füllmenge der Gabelrohre und die Viskosität vom Öl. Lohnt sich ein Tausch der Federn auf Progressiv. Mein Dank im voraus.

If you have a 2011 Speedmaster, chances are you already have quite a bit of experience with maintaining and modifying it. But one of the most important things to do to keep your ride feeling comfortable is to change the fork oil. The fork dives all the way when braking, and this could be caused by worn-out oil or a worn-out fork spring.
Knowing the capacity of the fork tubes and the viscosity of the oil is essential to properly changing the oil. The fork tubes on the 2011 Speedmaster hold 16 ounces of oil, and the viscosity of the oil needs to be 15W40 or 20W50.
Once you have the oil and the viscosity in mind, it’s time to think about changing the springs. The stock springs are designed to be stiff and have a linear rate of travel, meaning they don’t soften up or get more progressive after a certain amount of travel. Progressive springs, on the other hand, are designed to change rthe ate as they travel, softening up the initial compression before ramping up in stiffness as the fork gets deeper.

16 flüssig Unzen sind ungefähr 450 ml oder auch ca. 470 ml, je nachdem ob britisches oder US System.
Ich nehme mal an pro Gabelholm.
Die Anbieter von Nachrüst Gabelfedern geben in der Regel sowieso nicht die erforderliche Menge, sondern die Höhe des Luftpolsters an. In deinem Fall habe ich da einen Wert von 170 mm gefunden.
15W40 oder 20W50 ist nicht zielführend. Das sind Viskositätsklassen für Mehrbereichsöle für Motoren.
Gabelöle sind in der Regel Einbereichsöle oder wenn Mehrbereich, dann mit nur wenig Spreizung (5W10 oder so).
Vielen Dank für eure Antworten. Vielleicht ist es das Beste ich baue die Gabelholme aus und bringe sie weg zum Service.
Es gibt in der Nähe eine freie Motorrad Werkstatt, dort werde ich mal nachfragen. Es ist Winter und er hat vielleicht etwas Zeit. es ist eben so das ich sehr gerne Motorrad fahre und für mich auch das Schrauben dazugehört. Wenn ich den Service selber mache weiß ich es ist gut gemacht.
