buying BMW

BMW 3er E36

Hello,
I'm a student from Lithuania and I'm comming to berlin for a few days. I know that in Germany cars are cheaper than in Lithuania so I'm trying to find cheap and good car around berlin. As I'm student so I have very low income. I'm looking for a car which would cost about 1700EU. If anyone could help me plese write for me here o to my email esimkun@gmail.com

Advantage would be for BMW but I'm intrested in other cars as well.
Thank you.

Kiesplatzhändler often means a person with a turban on his head and oriental floors in his office and car.
Most people in this forum hate these persons, they think he would be a gangster.

Bullshit.

But there are many car dealers, especially in berlin, who are dealing with cars that are not in good condition and say it is the best car in the world.

These people exist in all nations, there are german dealers too that do something like that.

I think it is better to buy a car at a big car dealer (mostly very expensive, and dont deals with this old an cheap cars) or from a private person you can trust.

The best is if the car has original documentation from bmw with the data and facts from the inspections. This is called "Scheckheft/Scheckheftgepflegt" in Germany.

Grüße

Fatman

the first one you can forget, its a "kiesplatzhändler" in neukölln, wahrscheinlich mit südländischem Akzent...

*totlach und vom Stuhl fall*

maybe you will find someone in berlin who is going to check the car with you.

If you buy a car, pay attention to the - Scheckheft - which is mentioned 3 or 4 post before and take care of the technical inspection agency, in germany we call it TÜV,

ask for the documents which back technical conditons and the TÜV up and
in addition to this you should pay attention to rust and other damages!!

best regards, and good luck

Do you intend to visit Germany only to buy a car there? It seems kind of wild to do such a thing without speaking a word of German. 😉
Buying a BMW (or any car) for 1700 Euro is risky, especially when you need that car to drive through a whole country (without a check-up/maintenance) and you possibly find yourself stuck on a highway in the middle of Poland.

I believe that you will find the best deals for 1700 with a local car-owner and NOT a dealer. The problem is that you would have to call each one individually and there will most likely be a problem of communication. Nevertheless, I would give this a try.

It helps to keep an eye on the previously mentioned sites to see what these cars sell for. If you are unsure about the condition and what certain phrases mean, feel free to ask us.
But I don’t think people necessarily want to devote their week helping a complete stranger to find a car in person. 😁

Good luck.

Ric

Germans are, but car dealers... 🙄🙄😁

Maybe you'll find someone who is willing to help you. It's always a little adventure.

Hä??? Wie kommst du jetzt da drauf???😕

hmm? 😉

I wouldn´t mind to give u a hand looking for a car...unfortunately I´m not living in Berlin but (for german standarts) pretty far away...

Think it doesn´t matter where u buy a car....private or dealer....for this price u won´t find a "really good car"...if u understand. the price is very low....so will the quality. don´t expect to get an all new car.

anyway...good luck!

or maybe someone know who are selling good car in germany, i would try to get there too. maybe someone from you want to sell good car? if you would suggest me good offer. It would be good and around Frankfrukt. i know that plain ticket to one side from nearest airport for me cost only about 40eu.

Think about that

the price looks normal, but there is litle info. please suggest what you can find best 🙂
thanks
