Sorry I don't speak germany but it think you guys understand english also. This is from bmw technical training document about N57 engine.
"The coolant pump on the N57 engine forms a single unit with the thermostat. The housing of the coolant pump is made of aluminium alloy AlSi9Cu3; the impeller and the thermostat cover are made of plastic. The impeller, which is located in the water jacket, is bearing-mounted on a shaft. The water jacket is sealed off from the outside by a slide ring on the shaft. For this to work correctly, there must be some leakage between the shaft and the slide ring. This
improves the sliding properties. This is known as the functional leakage of the slide ring seal.
On the N57 engine, as on the M57TU2, that leakage is directed into the belt pulley and may give rise to minor traces of coolant. 3 In the past, coolant pumps would often be replaced due to the presence of coolant traces. However, minor traces of coolant are acceptable due to the functional leakage of the slide ring seal.
The maximum permissible coolant leakage is 800 mg/h, which corresponds to one drop with a diameter of a little over 1 cm per hour."
So maximum coolant leakage between 25tkm services should be around 0,5l.
...is this taken from a service bulletin or something?
There is nothing said about that functional leakage in the shop manual.
Thank You for posting anyway!
It is taken from bmw N57 training material to us markets.

maxmosley: I have read that you cars intake silencer have been replaced to newer one and top speed is now reduced. You tried to install old intake silencer but car give error message about it. Have you checked is possible to revert conversion back with ista/p? I mean just intake silencer change... not software downgrade...
"1. Replacing intake silencer
Replace intake silencer figure 1 as described in the repair instructions REP 13 71 000 Removing/replacing intake silencer. (For new part numbers for the intake silencer - see the Parts list in this Technical Campaign)
Note:
The remounting must be registered via ISTA/P using "Conversion of the intake silencer"."
@fraatti: Thank You for the links!
Actually my car has not been modified - it was some other guy's machine.
Going over the service bulletin BMW main concern appears to be the intake swap and the I-Level update not the egr-cooler check which follows further down the list.
The update is mandatory no matter what the cooler looks like - an elegant method to cope with the current NOx-discussion under way in Germany.
Shops say, the I-level update is irreversible - which I think is false, technically - but BMW will not authorize a downgrade.
Reinstalling the old silencer would help I guess, even without a downgrade, however, the shops usually take hold of the removed parts.

I heard today that they won't change the intake anymore. It seems that the campaign is living all the time. They will just check what is the index number of the egr-cooler. If it is below 08 then they will use endoscope for checking is the any signs of coolant leaks.
Index number is the two last digits. This is egr-cooler from N57 535d and the index number is valid for this part number 78230210.
Thank you for sharing these interesting information. Much appreciated :)

Where do I exactly find this number/ AGR cooler? Is it easy to see or do I need to disassemble something before? Thanks!
nutzen?

Just pull engine cover up and move sound/heatinsulation littlebit off from the front of engine. The label is at front side of of the cooler.
